He also served as the coordinator for the Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers as well as the Nacogdoches Citizens' Police Academy. His efforts with Crime Stoppers netted the Police Department nine state awards. Kenny volunteered time to the Nacogdoches Explorer Post, helping train young adults interested in a Law Enforcement career. He is the recipient of two Special Duty Commendations from the Police Department. After leaving the Police Department he worked as an investigator for the 145th District Attorney, eventually becoming the Chief Investigator for the District Attorney serving the 145th and 420th District Courts. While in this position he received a PCI (Professional Criminal Investigator) award. He currently works for the Nacogdoches Independent School District Police Department on the High School campus. Kenny holds a Master Peace Officer license. He is married to his wife Karen and has four children ranging from ages 18 to 34. He is also the proud grandfather to two boys.
