Download or read book From Darkness To Light written by Perihan Soylu and published by . This book was released on 2019-08-29 with total page 32 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Poems on death, life, and love. Life is a journey from darkness back to light. How can you deal with the loss of a loved one? How can you make sense of death and how can you grief in a healthy way? Readers say: "Discovering the pain you went through and seeing you now, spreading such joy. I think that journey is really amazing. I'm so, so happy you shared this." "Peri, I finished your poems tonight and got to the light! That was beautiful. Really! The journey you take people on through the pages is really touching. Through all of it, I really felt as if I could feel your emotions. YOU have a gift." This short collection of poems depicts the story of my coming to terms with the loss of my father. If you just had to say good-bye to a loved one and trying to make sense of what happened: These poems are dedicated to you. May you feel encouraged not to run from your emotions of grief, despair, and sadness that come with this experience. I want to encourage you to talk about what you feel and to work through the emotions that come up when experiencing the death of a person who was really close to you. Although we have been taught differently, I have learned that death is nothing we should simply push aside. We need our loving attention going through this experience. Let us please resist the dominant way of dealing with uncomfortable feelings: Ignoring, numbing or distracting ourselves. If you are currently going through a dark night of the soul: These peoms are also for you. You are not alone. This is your reminder that dark times are also part of being human. You will get through this. And you will be more loving, kinder, and living life more joyfully because you had the courage not to waste this experience. I hope that these poems help you see that even dark times do not only consist of darkness alone. There is also always light. May this poetry be a light for you.

Book Out of the Darkness Into the Light

Download or read book Out of the Darkness Into the Light written by Anne Landrum Stockstill and published by . This book was released on 1914-10-21 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some people simply pass through your life like an ocean tide washing against the shore and then out to sea again. Other people stay through the passing of time until they have other places to go. There are some people that bring with them happiness and light and others bringing only darkness and sorrow. The poetry in this book is a combination of the interactions with people along with my experiences during this life's journey. The poems express both the evil thoughts and deeds of man and the light of salvation through trusting our Lord and Savior. These verses contain my simple reflections about the world and God's creatures living on it.

This book was released on 2017-05 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Each following poem represents a different chapter in life. This is where The Little Book of Forgotten Sorrows begins its journey into the darkest depths of the mind, heart and soul... This anthology of poetry in The Little Book of Forgotten Sorrows engulfs the horrors within the truth of a reality that ignites an emotion from a reaction to daily events in a world so driven by broken will, rules, principles and laws which when fixed, and even sometimes while in utter disarray, still inevitably rule our pretty, and sometimes not so pretty, existence here on the big-round, right on to the invisible finish-line that we all so desperately trying reach - while - still in-one-piece, that is. There's an extremely fine line between what's REAL and what's NOT REAL. And, these days, that fine line is so very hazy. I personally don't try to figure it all out. When there are facts, the facts speak for themselves and when there aren't any facts, reality is perceived in a way that's most comfortable for each and every specific individual because that's what we are, individuals right, and we do what makes us happy and we avoid what makes us sad. So we see things in a way that makes us feel better and not worse. And that's the nature of the beast; it all is, just, what it is, right? All significant and sometimes not so significant but still, at the end of the day, ever-so meaningful parts to the lost, found and never to be found pieces of an enormous and so very colorful puzzle - that all-decked-out, so ambitious, half-built, gonna-finish-one-day, sometimes frightening and sometimes not so frightening puzzle of life. And some do reach that finish line, happy as can be, and some just don't and some never will because, just maybe they never wanted to in the first place but then again maybe they did but couldn't, maybe there were monsters in their way, maybe the darkness was too thick for them to see through, to the light or maybe, for them, there was no light at all at the end of that ever-so-dark tunnel but surely there must always be light somewhere, right! I think so. I think no matter how dark ones tunnel may appeared there is always light, there has to be! I think we just have to get through the darkness first. Maybe, some people have a darker darkness than others and maybe it's because they brought something upon themselves, from the depths of their own darkness, that is! Or maybe it just came upon them one day or one night when they were all alone in bed, lost in a mind of memories saturated by regrets, sorrows, worries and troubles; lost in that mind of slight-confusion where they had reached the hundredth sheep and finally lost count. Maybe at this moment, they breathed in that darkness - and it became theirs and like a broken switch that becomes a forever-attached dirty ornament on an unused wall it became part of them, part of their insides - and it began to eat - feeding on them because it was starving and maybe it never left - ever again.
