Book excerpt: Poetic Thoughts in the keys of happiness is a feel good book of poems and poetic readings all about events of disbelief, unfairness, inspiration, separation, excitement,Love at first sight, reminiscence, healing, encouragement, and making connections THAT BROUGHT ABOUT ARBRITRARY EMOTIONS in the authors life . It is a book that will ensure positive thinking for women and to also expound words of wisdom to help you become aware of the reasons people enter your life. Some may have great intentions and then there is always the chance of some just being there unwarranted. It is my aspiration and complete elucidation that everyone who reads this book is able to gain reconciliation, reconnection, remembrance, or reflection on something or someone from a past or current relationship. Correct me If I Am Wrong is a poem taking on what I call Lying Appeasers or Love scammers. The poem exposes vindictiveness for game players, big daddies, sugar daddies, and ballers, that scheme their way into your life by lying, being deceitful, lust, and cheating. These men feel that a woman is defined by having a man like them in their life. Correct Me If I Wrong deals with men that use unscrupulous behavior to weaken a woman to give in to their antics by giving her All in All to them, while he is continuously and obnoxiously carrying on intimate relationships with others and yet trying to scam for your undying affection. (Please if you find a pair of thongs in his car and he tells you they belong to his homeys girl, Susie Wonghang up the phone and disconnect the chargermore lies are coming.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From bestselling author of The Book of Delights and award-winning poet, a book of lyrical mini-essays celebrating the everyday that will inspire readers to rediscover the joys in the world around us. In Ross Gay’s new collection of small, daily wonders, again written over the course of a year, one of America’s most original voices continues his ongoing investigation of delight. For Gay, what delights us is what connects us, what gives us meaning, from the joy of hearing a nostalgic song blasting from a passing car to the pleasure of refusing the “nefarious” scannable QR code menus, from the tiny dog he fell hard for to his mother baking a dozen kinds of cookies for her grandchildren. As always, Gay revels in the natural world—sweet potatoes being harvested, a hummingbird carousing in the beebalm, a sunflower growing out of a wall around the cemetery, the shared bounty from a neighbor’s fig tree—and the trillion mysterious ways this glorious earth delights us. The Book of (More) Delights is a volume to savor and share.

Not even with my confidants. These are my most delicate thoughts. The ones that I wrote down just so I could understand what in the world these things I was thinking meant...” When she burst onto the music scene with her multi-million bestselling, Grammy® Award-winning first album, Songs in A Minor, Alicia Keys became a superstar. Two decades later, her career has expanded into producing, acting, and passionate activism—winning her worldwide acclaim, numerous awards, and a spot on Time’s list of “The 100 Most Influential People.” Though Alicia has been very vocal through her career, there were always “delicate thoughts” that she never before imagined she’d share with anyone else—until now. In Tears for Water, Alicia Keys opens the journals and notebooks that she has kept throughout her life and reveals her heart to her fans in return for all the love they have shown to her and her music. Hello morning now I see you cause I am awake What was once so sweet and secure has turned out to be fake Girl, you can’t be scared gotta stand up tall and let ’em see what shines in you Push aside the part lying in your heart like the ocean is deep, dark and blue —from Golden Child
