Book Reflections of a Dreamer

Download or read book Reflections of a Dreamer written by Errakiah Sannasi and published by . This book was released on 2017-02-09 with total page 150 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is indeed a remarkable literary endeavor. Readers who see a kaleidoscope of thoughts, experiences, convictions, and philosophies in this book will certainly find and cherish the invaluable pearls of wisdom scattered in various parts of the book. I am impressed with the particular mention of climate change and global warming. It is indeed a timely measure to bring awareness in the general populace, especially the indifferent lot who are still in a daze over the haze prevalent in the atmosphere. Today, natural calamities have become a global crisis that warrants urgent remedies, hence, the need for clean energy revolution to combat the devastating climate bomb. Written with a down-to-earth approach, the author has seriously attempted to also awaken and enlighten dreamers to the imminent social hazards that considerably affect the harmony between the human races. Human life cannot be compromised. The despicable violent minority is comfortably riding on the docile silent majority. In the words of Abraham Lincoln, "It's time we reverse might is right to right is might." Dedicate your time and energy for a cause worthy of your blessed birth on this earth. This book, enriched with thoughtful and inspiring sayings, will absolutely earn its keep. S. Applasamy, Retired Educator

  • Pages : 193 pages

Download or read book night thoughts written by Sarah Arvio and published by Knopf. This book was released on 2014-08-05 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this remarkable and unique work, award-winning poet Sarah Arvio gives us a memoir about coming to terms with a life in crisis through the study of dreams. As a young woman, threatened by disturbing visions, Arvio went into psychoanalysis to save herself. The result is a riveting sequence of dream poems, followed by “Notes.” The poems, in the form of irregular sonnets, describe her dreamworld: a realm of beauty and terror emblazoned with recurring colors and images—gold, blood red, robin’s-egg blue, snakes, swarms of razors, suitcases, playing cards, a catwalk. The Notes, also exquisitely readable, unfold the meaning of the dreams—as told to her analyst—and recount the enlightening and sometimes harrowing process of unlocking memories, starting with the diaries she burned to make herself forget. Arvio’s explorations lead her back to her younger self—and to a life-changing understanding that will fascinate readers. An utterly original work of art and a groundbreaking portrayal of the power of dream interpretation to resolve psychic distress, this stunning book illumines the poetic logic of the dreaming mind; it also shows us, with surpassing poignancy, how tender and fragile is the mind of an adolescent girl.

Download or read book Reflections of a Dream written by Jill L. Carpenter and published by Publishamerica Incorporated. This book was released on 2006-12-01 with total page 52 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reflections of a Dream is a collection of poetry that is meant to show insights into life. Some of the poems are short, some are long, but all work together in an attempt to combine the elements of reality and fantasy. Some of the themes of these poems are the Garden of Eden, the way an individual views the world, and how people view each other. Often, it is nearly impossible to see anything at all for what it is, because we, as human beings, are so caught up with ourselves. My hope is that poetry (or anything that makes us look at ourselves and others in another way) brings us all closer to what we can be instead of the mere creatures we are.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Reflections in Poetry" Reflections in Poetry was first thought about when I was working down in the Gulf of Mexico. Twelve hours a day five days a week I use to write during my lunch break or back at the motel. I put together some material in a legal pad and left everything in the Motel under the mattress. When I relocated back to Sumter, SC it was very hard getting started, with so many things on my mind. I asked God to give me the peace of mind that I needed to put my thoughts on paper. I stayed up one night until four in the morning writing. I needed that to get a lot of stuff off my chest and off my mind. I really enjoyed putting Reflections in Poetry together, it reflects on those that have passed on good people whose memories I'll always treasure and will never forget. Friends that I met over the years our paths crossed and we connected platonically. They inspired me in their own unique way to write about them in poetry. Reflections in Poetry are collections of treasured thoughts from my heart to yours. Enjoy Glenndell Chatmon

Download or read book Reflections Series Poetry Special Edition written by Jaie Hart and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2014-08-13 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a special edition release of my Reflections Poetry Series. The experience of life in its ups and downs can be inspirational if you are inclined to see it that way. Poetry is not the lost art some think it is. I relish the reading of poetry for the beautiful expression of true soul and spirit that it is and so I have contributed through my work, the musings of my own heart, soul and spirit. I see things often in terms of a poetic theme with infinite depth and endless meaning. I view life from the eyes of an inspired spiritual and artistic poet from my greatest moments of elation to my darkest moments of despair. But I know that these life lessons that stem from our inspiration, those things that call to our souls are important. They matter.
