I decided to one day write this book because I think we all should leave a little bit of ourself for future generations to know what life was like when we felt free. You will notice that many of the poems are about freedom, love of country, and the desire to preserve that which our forefathers fought and died for when we claimed our birthright promised to Abraham. Happiness is also what I wish for those of you to find in my simple words of wisdom in the form of verse, If by chance you that read get half as much pleasure reading as I did writing, I feel I have accomplished what I set out to do.
