Book Smiles Poems Thoughts to Ponder

Download or read book Smiles Poems Thoughts to Ponder written by Stephen Paul Tolmie and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2012-02 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Tree of Life The tree of life is so like man, ever stretching to the skies It s branches ever reaching upwards, as though to heaven above Like man s quest here on earth, to reach for that high unknown The tree requires the staples of life, for its very existence here But man in his slight wisdom, knows these details all too clear The tree roots, securely planted, are not allowed to roam But man s feet here on earth. Have mobility all their own Unlike the tree, man does possess a single separate entity A brain you see, though seldom used, a total shame indeed The tree of life depends on man, for its daily life s survival Man depends on his own life s skills to hopefully see his tomorrow Which is a sad virtue, for his thinking process is not always clear He makes good and bad decisions, its effects are not yet known Man should take his life s lessons, from the tree of life pursuit As our single life s true purpose, to reach for heaven above As the tree stretches forth its limbs, ever skyward, in its growth We should heed this very lesson, and praise the Lord above For all that He has done for mankind and this our earth as well

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I have had many blessings in my life with great rewards (my family and grandchild), yet just one regretthat I have not achieved my one goal to become a writer. I love to sit to the computer and just let my spirit take over and feel the rhythm of the keys dancing with words across the page. Each and every poem I write comes straight from my heart. To have someone read one of my poems and tell me that it made them feelto be able to touch a heart with the written wordis a blessing to be sure. I honestly can say that I wake thinking of writing and wont sleep if I have a thought running around in my head. I have to write. My life has been touched by poetry.

Book When You Thought I Wasn t Looking

Download or read book When You Thought I Wasn t Looking written by Mary Korzan and published by Andrews McMeel Publishing. This book was released on 2004-03 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mary Rita Schilke Korzan wrote a poem to her mother 24 years ago, thanking her for all she had done as a mother, friend, and role model. She gave the poem to her mother and, a few months later, offered it as a tribute when Mary and her husband were married. So many wedding guests asked for a copy that Mary included one in her thank-you notes. Then began the strange and heartwarming journey of Mary's poem to her mom. Friends passed it on to those they knew. A minister in her hometown couldn't recall who gave it to him, but he included the by-then "anonymously written" poem in his book about loving others. Another author picked it up from there for her compilation of heartfelt works, and Mary finally noticed her poem, now listed as "Author Unknown," in A Fourth Course of Chicken Soup for the Soul, which her husband and children gave her as a Mother's Day gift. With this new book, readers have the chance to experience When You Thought I Wasn't Looking in its entirety and from its creator. This is the special kind of book that reminds us that sometimes the little things we do "just because" mean more to someone than we can ever know. Those little things teach love, compassion, and understanding. In other words, they're priceless. This sweet gift book brings that lesson home to the heart.

So one has to focus on the understanding and in depth message in each poetry. The author has nicely related the value of Tear and Smile in to his poetry. Every poem is admirable. "The cry of your spirit and I am come to comfort it. Open your heart to me and I shall fill it with light." Author has focussed on feelings. Spiritual feelings the author narrates the pain & sorrows in this world. Tears flush out sorrows and grief. Smile always gives confidence and how to face all the situations. When heart is filled with emotions and by the hurt feelings, then tears are there to help you out. Gibran thus narrates how sorrow of the heart & tears of sadness makes like how into joy. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A new edition of A. E. Stallings's first book of poems, which was awarded the Richard Wilbur Award. In Archaic Smile, by the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Critics Circle Award finalist A. E. Stallings, the poet couples poetic meditations on classic stories and themes with poems about the everyday, sometimes mundane occurrences of contemporary life (like losing an umbrella or fishing with one’s father), and she infuses the latter with the magic of myth and history. With the skill of a scholar and translator and the playful, pristine composition of a poet, Stallings bridges the gap between these two distant worlds. Stallings “invigorates the old forms and makes them sing” (Meryl Natchez, ZYZZYVA) in her poetry, and the scope and origins of her talents are on full display in the acclaimed author's first collection. The poems of Archaic Smile are sung with a timeless, technically impeccable, and utterly true voice.
