Le FFF, qui a mobilisé 66,4 millions d'EUR de ressources de donateurs depuis 2004, a financé 77 opérations de subvention dans les pays du Moyen-Orient et d'Afrique du Nord (" MOAN "), qui ont abouti à 630 millions d'EUR d'opérations de panachage de ressources de la BEI, pour un investissement total de 1,35 milliard d'EUR. Grâce à l'aide ininterrompue de 16 États membres de l'UE et de la Commission européenne, le FFF a approuvé 9,9 millions d'EUR d'opérations de subvention en 2017, soit le montant le plus élevé jamais atteint. Le FFF a été un acteur clé du partenariat entre l'UE et les pays partenaires méditerranéens en s'inscrivant dans le cadre du processus qui a encouragé le renouvellement économique et politique dans les pays voisins du Sud.
