Book Watch Me Play A Self guided Music Course for Children Easy to Play Sheet Music with Colors and Letters for Beginners Super Simple Songs for Keyboard or Piano

Download or read book Watch Me Play A Self guided Music Course for Children Easy to Play Sheet Music with Colors and Letters for Beginners Super Simple Songs for Keyboard or Piano written by and published by Helen Winter. This book was released on with total page 63 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is tailored for absolute beginners in music, whether they are kids or adults. We have deliberately kept the content simple, employing an "easy-to-play" visual guide that allows any novice to start making music quickly. No prior musical knowledge or background is required, making it accessible for both children and their parents. Each song is accompanied by a large and straightforward visual aid, color and letter-coded, alongside traditional sheet music. The instructions are structured to guide children from basic circles to reading notes using sheet music, making the learning process akin to a game where children progress through different levels on their own. The book comprises 22 songs and offers three options to help beginners start playing immediately: Playing by Color Circle Playing by Letter Playing with the Musical Staff Initially, players can follow the circles and then transition to interpreting classic note symbols and staff. Helpful letters are always provided above the notes for easy reference. The book is divided into three parts, corresponding to three levels of difficulty: Level 1: This section features songs played within one octave. Each song is presented twice: first with circles and then with classic music notes, aiding children in memorizing staff notes. For example: Mary Had a Little Lamb - Version 1 - Circles Mary Had a Little Lamb - Version 1 - Notes Level 2: Here, you will find songs presented in both circle and note formats, as well as more advanced versions with detailed musical notation. For example: Hot Cross Buns - Version 1 - Circles Hot Cross Buns - Version 1 - Notes Hot Cross Buns - Version 2 - Notes (This version introduces different key signatures and teaches transposition skills.) Generally, the sheet music versions of the songs are slightly more complex, incorporating musical notations like rests or beams. An illustrated explanation of these notations is provided at the end of the book. Level 3: This section features different combinations of notes for the same melody, presented in both circle and note formats. This enables beginners to understand how the same melody can be played in various keys. Primarily designed for newcomers to keyboard instruments such as the piano or synthesizer, this book offers 22 one-hand piano songs. It also serves as an excellent self-training guide for children and beginner adults looking to master percussion instruments like the kalimba, marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel, or even a color bell set. Table of contents Level 1 Mary Had a Little Lamb Ode to Joy The Wheels on the Bus Jolly Old Saint Nicholas Ten Little Fingers London Bridge Do You Know the Muffin Man? No previous knowledge is necessary. None at all. Every song has a large and simple, color and letter-coded visual, along with traditional sheet music. The instruction is designed so that children begin with simple circles and gradually advance to reading notes using sheet music. I try to make this transition as easy as a game, where children advance to higher levels themselves. There is a total of 22 songs and 3 options to help children to begin to play right away. PLAYING BY COLOR CIRCLE PLAY BY LETTER PLAY WITH THE MUSICAL STAFF The player can first follow the circles and then repeat with the classic note symbols and staff. The helpful letters are always above the notes. There are 3 parts in this book. They are equal to 3 levels. Level 1. Songs that are played in one octave. All songs here appear twice: once written with circles and the next time with classic music notes. This will help kids remember the staff notes. For example: Mary Had a Little Lamb - Ver 1 - Circles Mary Had a Little Lamb - Ver 1 - Notes Level 2 In this part, you will find one version with both circles and notes, and a more advanced version of the song with notes and musical notation. For example: Hot Cross Buns - Ver 1 - CIRCLES Hot Cross Buns - Ver 1 - NOTES Hot Cross Buns - Ver 2 - NOTES (Here the player will play songs in a different key and learn to transpose.) Generally, the version of the song written with sheet music is a little bit more complex than a letter-coded version. Such versions already have music notation such as rests or beams, etc. You can find an illustrated explanation of the notation at the end of this book. Level 3 Here, the first two songs are versions of the same melody (different combinations of notes) written with circles and notes. This is important so that the beginner can see how the same melody can be played in different keys. First of all, this book is addressed to newcomers to any keyboard instrument (such as Piano or Synthesizer). We offer 22 one-hand piano songs. Also, it is a perfect self-training guide for children and beginner adults to mastering the challenges of percussion instruments such as kalimba, marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel, or even color bell set.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you someone who revels in the resonance of melodies, whose heart beats to the rhythm of tunes? Embark on a young man’s odyssey through love, tragedy, and the enlivening world of music, underscoring the eternal bond between human emotions and musical notes. This narrative underscores the quintessence of music—it’s not just an art, but a heartbeat that continues to echo through the chambers of our lives, forever. Discover the profound connection a musician shares with his instrument, akin to a confidant, a companion in joy, and solace in sorrow. As a teenager, our protagonist finds his heartstrings attuned to the chords of a violin accompanist, who not only complements his music but also completes his world. However, fate orchestrates a melancholy melody as he loses her, plunging him into a realm of despondence, detaching him from the music that once defined his existence. Now adrift in a ‘free-floating’ reality, devoid of the musical notes that colored his world, he confronts the silence that ensues. The narrative strikes a chord, illustrating his journey back to the world, back to the essence of music that once cradled his soul. His path is arduous, but will the crescendo of life play a tune of hope, or will it fade into an adagio of despair? The finale holds an unexpected cadence, leaving you earnestly rooting for the young maestro to rekindle his love for music and share the eloquence of his violin with the world once more. Stephen’s favourite saying was “When music is played, we all dance together; when music is played, we all listen as one.”

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An inside look at a "no-excuses" charter school that reveals this educational model’s strengths and weaknesses, and how its approach shapes students Silent, single-file lines. Detention for putting a head on a desk. Rules for how to dress, how to applaud, how to complete homework. Walk into some of the most acclaimed urban schools today and you will find similar recipes of behavior, designed to support student achievement. But what do these “scripts” accomplish? Immersing readers inside a “no-excuses” charter school, Scripting the Moves offers a telling window into an expanding model of urban education reform. Through interviews with students, teachers, administrators, and parents, and analysis of documents and data, Joanne Golann reveals that such schools actually dictate too rigid a level of social control for both teachers and their predominantly low-income Black and Latino students. Despite good intentions, scripts constrain the development of important interactional skills and reproduce some of the very inequities they mean to disrupt. Golann presents a fascinating, sometimes painful, account of how no-excuses schools use scripts to regulate students and teachers. She shows why scripts were adopted, what purposes they serve, and where they fall short. What emerges is a complicated story of the benefits of scripts, but also their limitations, in cultivating the tools students need to navigate college and other complex social institutions—tools such as flexibility, initiative, and ease with adults. Contrasting scripts with tools, Golann raises essential questions about what constitutes cultural capital—and how this capital might be effectively taught. Illuminating and accessible, Scripting the Moves delves into the troubling realities behind current education reform and reenvisions what it takes to prepare students for long-term success.
