Download or read book Plan estrat gico a partir de Indicadores de Gesti n Log stica KPI written by Andrea Marcela Méndez Sánchez and published by Ewe Editorial Acad MIA Espa Ola. This book was released on 2013 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Supply Chain Planning

Download or read book Supply Chain Planning written by Matthew J. Liberatore and published by Business Expert Press. This book was released on 2012-09-25 with total page 157 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In today’s competitive global economy, a firm’s market position and bottom-line financial performance is closely linked to its supply chain performance. All too often considerable managerial resources are directed toward planning activities and processes with little in the way of tangible results and outcomes. What supply chain executives require is the know-how to efficiently and effectively direct their planning activities so that the results lead to better business decisions from the long-term down to day-to-day operations. In this book, the authors present proven, practical management frameworks and techniques to support supply chain operations management and planning in private industry. These frameworks describe supply chain strategic planning and project selection techniques, integrated manufacturing–distribution planning and scheduling approaches, performance measurement and balanced scorecard methodologies, customer logistics and inventory deployment decision support systems, and other well-tested management frameworks.

Book Public Sector Strategy Design

Download or read book Public Sector Strategy Design written by David E. McNabb and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-09-24 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Within the public sector, strategies are not designed to influence markets, but instead to guide operations within a complex environment of multilateral power, influence, bargaining, and voting. In this book, authors David McNabb and Chung-Shingh Lee examine five frameworks public sector organization managers have followed when designing public sector strategies. Its purpose is to serve as a guide for managers and administrators of large and small public organizations and agencies. This book is the product of a combined more than sixty years of researching, teaching and leading organizational seminars on the theory and practice of management applications in industrial, commercial, nonprofit and public sector organizations. The book consists of four parts: Strategic Management and Strategy Fundamentals; Frameworks for Designing Strategies; Examples of Public Sector Strategies; and Implementing Strategic Management. Throughout, the focus is on the widespread value of strategic management and adopting the strategy appropriate for the organization. Including chapters on game theory, competitive forces, resources-based view, dynamic capabilities, and network governance, the authors demonstrate ways that real managers of public sector and civil society organizations have put strategic management to work in their organizations. This book will be of interest to both practicing and aspiring public servants.

If you want to be great—truly great—this is your blueprint. We’re entering an Age of Transcendence, as people increasingly search for higher meaning in their lives, not just more possessions. This is transforming the marketplace, the workplace, the very soul of capitalism. Increasingly, today’s most successful companies are bringing love, joy, authenticity, empathy, and soulfulness into their businesses: they are delivering emotional, experiential, and social value–not just profits. Firms of Endearment illuminates this, the most fundamental transformation in capitalism since Adam Smith. It’s not about “corporate social responsibility”: it’s about building companies that can sustain success in a radically new era. It’s about great companies like IDEO and IKEA®, Commerce Bank and Costco®, Wegmans and Whole Foods®: how they earn the powerful loyalty and affection that enables truly breathtaking performance. This book is about gaining “share of heart,” not just share of wallet. It’s about aligning stakeholders’ interests, not just juggling them. The effect has been to substantiallychange cost structures with their traditional focus on direct laborand arbitrary allocation of overhead. Yet we continue to measurecost in the old way. Now, here's a book that shows you how to update your accountingprocedures in order to effectively accommodate these significantchanges. Step by step, Activity Accounting: An Activity-BasedCosting Approach describes activity accounting in a clear, concisemanner. Activity-based accounting is an essential tool for running yourbusiness in the 90s. This book is a must-have tool for learning howto master it.

Book Identifying Controlling Features of Engineering Design Iteration

Download or read book Identifying Controlling Features of Engineering Design Iteration written by Robert P. Smith and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2018-02-09 with total page 40 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Identifying Controlling Features of Engineering Design Iteration: Revised September 1992 Engineering design generally involves a very complex set of relationships among a large number of coupled elements. It is this complex coupling that leads to iteration among the various engineering tasks in a large project The Design Structure Matrix (dsm) is useful in identifying where iteration is necessary. The Work Transformation Model developed in this paper is a powerful extension of the dsm method which can predict slow and rapid iteration within a project, and predict those features of the design problem which will require many iterations to reach a technical solution. This model is applied to an automotive brake system development process in order to illustrate the model's utility in describing the main features of an actual design process. The goal of this work is to develop a modeling framework which is useful for describing engineering design iteration. The framework is applied to brake system design to illustrate its utility in understanding the engineering design process. Engineering design is the process whereby a technical solution is created to solve a given problem. There have been several attempts to give formal structure to the design process, such as those of Sub Pahl and Beitz [1988] and Alexander This stream of research characterizes good design practice in general terms, but does not describe what makes some design problems more difficult than others. We intend to further the development of design process modeling by providing richness to the descriptions of design procedures and strategies which will enable a design organization to identify the difficult portions of their particular design problem. Strategies can then be developed to facilitate the effective execution of these difficult aspects. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
