He then removed and settled on Nine Mile Prairie, in Callaway county, where he remained some time, and then removed to Fulton. He had two children, Winthrop and Joseph. The latter died in his youth, and the former is a distinguished minister of the Christian Church. Winthrop was very wild when he was a boy, and was called one of the worst boys in Callaway countyj He was bound to have his fun, no matter who suffered b}T it.
