Cette compétitivité a mis les entreprises, notamment celles d’envergure internationale, dans une situation de recherche de compromis entre des objectifs et des contraintes de plus en plus forts et contradictoires. Cet environnement nous a conduit à développer un système de pilotage et de contrôle de production qui ne soit pas seulement capable de réagir efficacement mais qui soit également en évolution permanente pour améliorer ses performances et la qualité des solutions qu’il propose en terme d’ordonnancement. Ce système doit pouvoir exploiter au mieux les ressources de production. Pour ce faire, ces ressources subissent régulièrement des entretiens préventifs ou des corrections suite aux pannes, ce qui les rend indisponibles à ces moments. Les systèmes de pilotage de production doivent prendre en considération ces indisponibilités afin de mieux contrôler et commander le système de production. Par conséquent, production et maintenance doivent être gérées conjointement au sein du système de pilotage. Dans ce cadre, l’objectif de cette thèse est de proposer un système de pilotage qui soit réactif et capable d’améliorer en permanence ses performances. Dans cet objectif, un système basé sur l’approche multi-agent et l’apprentissage par renforcement multi-objectifs a été développé, ces techniques permettent au système d’être réactif et adaptatif à son environnement. Le système développé a été testé sur un cas réel qui est une unité de fabrication des huiles finies. Les expérimentations ont donné des résultats satisfaisants ouvrant la porte à de nouvelles perspectives.

Book excerpt: De nos jours, de nombreux systèmes de production sont gérés en flux « tirés » et utilisent des méthodes basées sur des « cartes », comme : Kanban, ConWIP, COBACABANA, etc. Malgré leur simplicité et leur efficacité, ces méthodes ne sont pas adaptées lorsque la production n'est pas stable et que la demande du client varie. Dans de tels cas, les systèmes de production doivent donc adapter la tension de leur flux tout au long du processus de fabrication. Pour ce faire, il faut déterminer comment ajuster dynamiquement le nombre de cartes (ou de 'e-card') en fonction du contexte. Malheureusement, ces décisions sont complexes et difficiles à prendre en temps réel. De plus, dans certains cas, changer trop souvent le nombre de cartes kanban peut perturber la production et engendrer un problème de nervosité. Les opportunités offertes par l'industrie 4.0 peuvent être exploitées pour définir des stratégies intelligentes de pilotage de flux permettant d'adapter dynamiquement ce nombre de cartes kanban.Dans cette thèse, nous proposons, dans un premier temps, une approche adaptative basée sur la simulation et l'optimisation multi-objectif, capable de prendre en considération le problème de la nervosité et de décider de manière autonome (ou d'aider les gestionnaires) quand et où ajouter ou retirer des cartes Kanban. Dans un deuxième temps, nous proposons une nouvelle approche adaptative et intelligente basée sur un réseau de neurones dont l'apprentissage est d'abord réalisé hors ligne à l'aide d'un modèle numérique jumeau (simulation), exploité par une optimisation multi-objectif. Après l'apprentissage, le réseau de neurones permet de décider en temps réel, quand et à quelle étape de fabrication il est pertinent de changer le nombre de cartes kanban. Des comparaisons faites avec les meilleures méthodes publiées dans la littérature montrent de meilleurs résultats avec des changements moins fréquents.

Dans le cas d'une production par anticipation (Make To Stock), les produits sont fabriqués par anticipation des demandes futures et placés dans un stock à partir duquel les demandes seront directement satisfaites. Il est assez fréquent de combiner ces deux modes fondamentaux (MTO et MTS) ; en particulier dans les secteurs industriels où l'activité de l'entreprise se partage en deux grandes activités. Une activité de base, associée à un nombre réduit de références produites régulièrement en grandes quantités (the High Volume products), et une activité complémentaire, associée à la production irrégulière en faible quantité d'un grand nombre de références différentes (the Low Volume products). Dans une telle situation, l'activité de base (HV) est généralement gérée en MTS tandis que l'activité complémentaire (LV) est gérée en MTO. L'approche la plus simple pour piloter ces flux consiste à utiliser une politique " premier arrivé premier sorti " (First-In-First-Out). Les demandes seront donc traitées selon leur ordre d'arrivée indépendamment du fait qu'ils soient HV ou LV. Une approche alternative consiste à donner une priorité aux produits LV (the PRiority policy). L'idée est de donner une réactivité maximale pour ces produits, permettant ainsi de les fabriquer à la commande tout en leur assurant encore une bonne réactivité par rapport aux clients. L'objectif de la thèse est d'étudier l'intérêt de cette deuxième approche (le mode PR), en terme de coût et aussi en terme d'impact sur le choix optimal des modes MTO et/ou MTS.
