Book So You Always Wanted to Be A Physician Recruiter

Download or read book So You Always Wanted to Be A Physician Recruiter written by Cpc Bob Eskridge and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2008-11-17 with total page 334 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The youth of the ocean floors (0- .3Ma) verses the age of plate tectonics (2-3 Ma) suggests strongly that plate tectonics is cyclic. Densified silicate liquid(Ls) at about 290km depth suggests that it could be the ingredient that lightens the outer core as well as an active ingredient in its activities along with lower mantle phases high density magnesium provoskite (MgPv), calcium perovskite (CaPv), magnesiumwustite (Mw), iron(Ir) and iron liquid(Lm) plus isobarically and isothermally invariant liquid phases. Unstable convective contacts among these phases at all levels produce heat as they tend toward stable equilibrium. This heat expands against the earth's mantle and even causes the inner core to melt with 5cc\g. Eventually, the core-mantle boundary fails along lines and / or points to allow for the exit of densified silicate liquid. This liquid reacts with the lower mantle to produce unique liquids FOZO for oceanic island basalts and C-Component for the ridge and rise basalts ofthe Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans. It is thought that these ejected liquids react to form hot solid plumes of low viscosity that ascend to 290 km where they melt on decompression to basalt that ascends further to create oceanic crust. Sea-floor spreading followed by subduction to the earth's core where the cycle ends to begin... again and again. A hypothetical ternary system is used to illustrate the cycle from beginning to end. Experimental evidence indicates that the core-mantle boundary may be as simple as a quaternary reaction: MgPv + CaPv +Mw = Ls + Lm, where Ls probably contains some Fe203.

Book 50 Nonclinical Careers for Physicians Fulfilling Meaningful and Lucrative Alternatives to Direct Patient Care

Download or read book 50 Nonclinical Careers for Physicians Fulfilling Meaningful and Lucrative Alternatives to Direct Patient Care written by Sylvie Stacy and published by American Association for Physician Leadership. This book was released on 2020-05-20 with total page 314 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How Physicians Can Leverage Their Clinical Skills to Transition to Another Career. By the time they realize their career in clinical medicine isn't everything they thought it would be, many physicians believe they're too invested in their trade to turn back now. Feeling burned out, disengaged, unfulfilled or burdened by high student debt or compensation incommensurate with the demands of their job, they may feel trapped, without options and with nowhere to turn. In her book, 50 NONCLINICAL CAREERS FOR PHYSICIANS: FULFILLING, MEANINGFUL, and LUCRATIVE ALTERNATIVES TO DIRECT PATIENT CARE, preventive medicine physician Sylvie Stacy offers physicians an escape from that bleak "trap" by identifying numerous nonclinical career options that could align with their skillsets and individual financial situation. While providing an escape from the stressors of clinical medicine, the book also allays much of the potential guilt associated with "selling out" their chosen profession or abandoning patients by explaining how each physician's training and talents directly translate to patient care outside of clinical medicine. The value of 50 NONCLINICAL CAREERS FOR PHYSICIANS is in its actionable advice, including how to market yourself in job applications and interviews, and the abundance of detail it provides - including responsibilities, range of compensation and stress levels - to help readers decide which alternative career is the best fit for them. And while other authors encourage physicians to start their own business, Stacy focuses on full-time positions that don't require the reader to begin their own consulting business or find their own clients.

Book A Marketing Approach to Physician Recruitment

Download or read book A Marketing Approach to Physician Recruitment written by James O. Hacker and published by Psychology Press. This book was released on 1995 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Marketing Approach to Physician Recruitment is a how-to manual designed to assist hospitals in the physician recruitment process, or to enhance already existing recruitment programs. Given the ever-changing status on health care reform, hospital administrators and physicians are faced with the challenge of meeting the growing needs of patients, as well as their own internal priorities. In order to survive, the medical profession as a whole must make the commitment to identify the needs of the community it serves, while integrating the activities and roles of departments, boards and staff. In the past, physician recruitment has tended to itself. As part of a competitive system, neither the individual provider nor the medical group can afford to ignore its physician profile. This book is aware of the needs of today's hospitals and presents a program to facilitate the process of recruiting physicians. The authors provide the reader with a step-by-step physician recruiting process. They include additional materials to support the recruiting process. The book is comprised of four sections. The process section provides organization for the recruitment program by assisting readers with creating a written plan. The resources section facilitates that plan's effectiveness by providing information for developing pro forms, community support, letters, tracking forms, incentive packages, and legal documents. The reference section lists organizations, contact names, addresses, and phone numbers needed for recruiting. A Marketing Approach to Physician Recruitment is the only book of its kind. Hospitals can use it to develop a practical and proven process for recruiting physicians. It is an effective tool for meeting the needs of patients and physicians alike.
