The nephew who makes the whole family proud. What they don’t know is how hard I’ve worked to be what they want me to be. Or how scared I am to lose it all. And that’s what will happen if I let myself love her. I’ll lose. Yet somehow, I can’t seem to help myself. I know it’s dangerous, but I still want more. More time with her. More secrets. More stolen kisses. She may be the one woman I can never have, but she’s also the only woman I can’t seem to give up. As a physical therapist, I get my hands on the hottest guys in sports, but I’m a professional. I have rules. And I’m *this* close to breaking every one of them. It’s all his fault: Austin “The Champ” Sherwood, the gorgeous football god. He’s most valuable on the field, and most desired in the bedroom. He’s my obnoxious patient. I hate him. I want him. But we’re forced together as he's recovering from a season-ending injury. Rejecting him should be easy. I shouldn’t want to date a client, but my heart melts when I see him with his baby daughter. A football god who’s not a player? He's a dream-come-true, but I can’t date him. Our forbidden romance could get me fired. But what will we lose if we walk away? Austin They call me the Champ, but I’m no player Let’s get one thing straight: I don’t date. When I see women, it’s just to get laid. That’s the way it is when you’re a single dad. Between my football career and raising my kid, I have no time to play the field. My world revolved around my baby girl until Chloe. She’s my stuck-up, hot as hell physical therapist. She’s mouthy. Gorgeous. Smart as hell. And she hates me. She doesn’t like football, and I’m a wide-receiver. She doesn’t have kids—I’m a single dad. Girls like her don’t go for guys like me, but I can’t get her out of my damn mind. I’ll play again when I heal from my injury, but her hands are the only ones I want on my body. She’s all attitude and sass until her clothes hit the floor. My daughter needs a mother—and Chloe's perfect. I've got one goal in mind, and it's not just scoring with the Lady. I want the whole nine yards.

Download or read book The Awkward Path to Getting Lucky written by Summer Heacock and published by MIRA. This book was released on 2017-07-25 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In thirty-four days, it will have been exactly two years to the day since I’ve had sex. Having sex wasn’t exactly high on Kat Carmichael’s priority list while her successful bakery was taking off, especially since things hadn’t been working very well in that department. And the last time she and her boyfriend, Ryan, even attempted the act, they found it to be physically impossible—resulting in pain and disappointment for Kat instead of sunshine and orgasms. With just over a month until their four-year anniversary, Kat calls for a break in her relationship with Ryan, encouraging him to see other people while she throws herself into physical therapy. Yet even with the well-intentioned (but wildly inappropriate) attempts at help from her best friends, Kat quickly discovers that a solo mission may not be the best approach. Fortunately, physical therapist Ben Cleary, the shop’s best (looking) customer, volunteers to help out—strictly as a friend, of course. But as the line between love and friendship begins to blur, Kat stands to lose much more than a functioning set of lady bits if she can’t figure out what to hang on to…and what to let go.

Download or read book With My Hand in His written by Heather Tuttle and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2020-09-22 with total page 381 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When I was experiencing my first semesters of college, the professors would hand out a syllabus outlining what would be expected of me to accomplish in class throughout that semester. As I read through each one, my heart would pound, and my hands would sweat as I felt my inadequacy in meeting the requirements for the class. I saw that I clearly lacked the knowledge, experience, and skills to be successful, and it made me want to turn and run from the classroom. However, with time, I learned that by the time each assignment was due, I had been given what I needed in order to successfully meet those requirements, no matter the difficulty. I believe Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us, a syllabus of sorts. Part of his plan includes facing unimaginable trials, things we would exclaim we could never do, never endure. It is with and through these challenges that if we allow, God grows and strengthens us, giving us power to endure and making us more than we thought we could be. Each challenge acts as a springboard, which moves us to another level of ability in forgiveness, patience, faith, empathy, gratitude, humility, prayer, and so many more attributes and skills. This book contains my stories of trial, faith, and miracles in my son Jonah's fight to live and heal after a life-threatening traumatic brain injury, which left him in a coma. It also contains those earlier experiences of my life that the Lord used to build my abilities to endure, strengthen my relationship with Him, and teach me how He moves and communicates with me in my life. Whoever said God doesn't give us anything we can't handle was so very wrong! We are given many things we couldn't possibly endure without our Heavenly Father walking beside us, guiding us, and strengthening us to bear those things we couldn't possibly imagine we could. These stories are of my very profound and tender walk with the Lord with my hand in His.
