Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, two of America's most revered symbols of freedom, date back to the British rule of the American colonies. The main structure of Independence Hall was completed in 1732, and the final casting of the Liberty Bell was completed in 1753. Visited by over two million people yearly, these historic icons have been used as backdrops for many political and social demonstrations and speeches. Filled with images from the archives of Independence National Historical Park, Philadelphia Department of Records, and collections from around the country, Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell illustrates how these two historic relics generate a sense of pride and patriotism set forth by the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.

Download or read book The Destruction Of Liberty written by Jon Anthony Hauser and published by The Writers Tree. This book was released on 2024-04-13 with total page 371 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why do self-proclaimed "progressives" always come to power using the rhetoric of fairness, equity, and inclusion, but almost inevitably end up looking down upon the rest of us from an ivory tower? Meanwhile, those they claim to champion, especially those at the lowest end of the socio-economic spectrum, sink ever deeper into the abyss of dependence on government largesse, failing public schools, crime-ridden streets, and economic stagnation? It's because these people are actually socialists in disguise, creating a new feudal hierarchy with themselves as the new aristocrats. Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, and others constantly rail against the evils of capitalism, yet they do not hesitate to exploit it for their own personal gain at every opportunity. This book examines all of this and more through the lenses of history, politics, economics, culture, spirituality, and sometimes just common sense. It will also survey the landscape of current events and social trends to explain how these “progressives” actually seek to deceive the American public, with the very intention of bringing about a “regression” to a darker age from the past.

Download or read book Growing Up In The Greatest Generation written by Frank Clymer and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2018-05-16 with total page 161 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The greatest generation will always be one of the most interesting times in American history. Why was this true? I had the privilege to be born in this period in beautiful historical Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I write this book as I saw it as a young boy. I was blessed with a good memory and an interest in all the things happening around me growing up in a small community, but a very unusual community during the Second World War. I will share in this book the people, our lives, how we lived, worked, played, and fought a war that affected and consumed us in everything we did. If you like nostalgia, which includes the Second World War, you will see it from a young boy's view, which will include many things you probably never knew or thought about-from the customs and people in a Pennsylvania Dutch community to a German American Bund camp that I had personal contact with; my family's involvement in the war; our small community's impact with lives given; sacrifices made; the number of generals from a population of 2,500 people; and probably the largest gauge plant in America. I will relate the fears and joys as a young boy from the air-raid drills, the holiday customs, our education, medical practices, family life, respect for adults and country, and spiritual impact at that time. There is a different world to be seen through the eyes of a child that is lost when we become adults. I believe I have captured that different world.
