Book Phenylchlorosilanes Production Process Cost Analysis Chlorosilanes E21A

Download or read book Phenylchlorosilanes Production Process Cost Analysis Chlorosilanes E21A written by Intratec and published by Intratec. This book was released on 2019-09-17 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report presents a cost analysis of Phenylmethyldichlorosilanes production from benzenes and hydrosilanes. In this batch process, benzene and methyldichlorosilane are mixed with a boron trichloride solution - which works as catalyst for the reaction. Phenylmethyldichlorosilane is recovered from the reaction product mixture by means of distillation columns. This report was developed based essentially on the following reference(s): Keywords: Siloxanes, silicone, silanes

Book Current Trends in Organic Synthesis

Download or read book Current Trends in Organic Synthesis written by Carlo Scolastico and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 367 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The last two decades have seen a rapid growth in the synthetic processing of both simple and complex molecules, aimed at meeting the needs of society in all aspects of life. Many efforts have been devoted to the development of new biologically active compounds, new materials with innovative properties such as bio-compatibility, new catalysts that allow highly selective transformations, and technologies that facilitate the synthetic pro cesses. This book is a compendium of recent progress in all these aspects of synthetic chemistry. It collects the lectures of the XII International Conference on Organic Synthesis, held in Venice from June 28 to July 2, 1998, in which the present state of art of this discipline has been reported. The topics covered include: combinatorial chemistry, new synthetic methods, stereo selective synthesis, metal-mediated synthesis, and target oriented synthesis. The book collects the contributions, in the mentioned topics, of 43 scientists from 19 different countries. The contributions presented in the Conference as plenary lectures are reported in the first section of the book. Particular attention has been dedicated to combinatorial chemistry, a new and promising methodology for the synthesis of libraries of pharmaco logically interesting compounds in order to allow the automatic pharmacological screening of thousands of compounds. The Conference has dedicated to combinatorial chemistry a mini-symposium in which scientists from academy and companies have described the current trends of this very new technology.

Book Peptide based Drug Discovery

Download or read book Peptide based Drug Discovery written by Ved Srivastava and published by Royal Society of Chemistry. This book was released on 2017-06-26 with total page 589 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With potentially high specificity and low toxicity, biologicals offer promising alternatives to small-molecule drugs. Peptide therapeutics have again become the focus of innovative drug development efforts backed up by a resurgence of venture funds and small biotechnology companies. What does it take to develop a peptide-based medicine? What are the key challenges and how are they overcome? What are emerging therapeutics for peptide modalities? This book answers these questions with a holistic story from molecules to medicine, combining the themes of design, synthesis and clinical applications of peptide-based therapeutics and biomarkers. Chapters are written and edited by leaders in the field from industry and academia and they cover the pharmacokinetics of peptide therapeutics, attributes necessary for commercially successful metabolic peptides, medicinal chemistry strategies for the design of peptidase-resistant peptide analogues, disease classes for which peptide therapeutic are most relevant, and regulatory issues and guidelines. The critical themes covered provide essential background information on what it takes to develop peptide-based medicine from a chemistry perspective and views on the future of peptide drugs. This book will be a valuable resource not only as a reference book for the researcher engaged in academic and pharmaceutical setting, from basic research to manufacturing and from organic chemistry to biotechnology, but also a valuable resource to graduate students to understand discovery and development process for peptide-based medicine.

Book Principles of Peptide Synthesis

Download or read book Principles of Peptide Synthesis written by Miklos Bodanszky and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 335 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Principles of Peptide Synthesis is a very successful book by one of the pioneers of contemporary bioorganic synthesis. Its first edition proved a valuable source that is kept close to the work bench for frequent consulting. Any researcher planning the formation of the peptide bond, be it for the synthesis of a peptide chain or a cyclic peptide, benefits from the author's experience. The concise and critical treatment of the steps involved: protection, activation and bond formation require careful planning to avoid racemization and undesired side reactions. The second edition has been completely revised and updated. New procedures that have been developed since the first edition was published and that did not fit into the original are added in a separate chapter. This separation of old and new make it possible to assess new ideas and discern novel trends.

Book Amino Acids and Peptides

Download or read book Amino Acids and Peptides written by J. S. Davies and published by Chapman & Hall/CRC. This book was released on 1985 with total page 448 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a handy reference compilation of physical and bibliographical data on all of the most important amino acids and small peptides as well as a selection of interesting polypeptides and proteins. There are extensive entries on the common protein amino acids, including many derivatives; virtually all of the known rarer plant amino acides are also included. The entries are listed in alphabetical order giving instant access in the majority of cases: additionally, the book is fully indexed by compound name, formula and CAS registry number, allowing the rapid location of compounds which cannot be immedialtely located alphabetically.
