Desde esta perspectiva paradigmática de acción social y visión global sobre la construcción del conocimiento, este libro publica una tarea de transmisión del conocimiento entendida como tarea colectiva, en la cual los autores aparecen como aglutinadores y formalizadores del discurso científico académico. El eje vertebrador de la obra se centra en la enseñanza-aprendizaje de la lengua española y, muy especialmente, en los estudios descriptivos sobre el léxico español, como forma de aproximación sociohistórica. Una recreación científico-didáctica diseñada en seis narraciones construidas desde la racionalidad investigadora y el análisis del léxico español. Las disciplinas que aportan los modos de descripción y el conjunto de reglas para ver el comportamiento del léxico son, sobre todo, la lexicología, la lexicografía y la terminología: estudios cualitativos sobre el léxico social; léxico histórico de gastronomía; americanización léxica del español, el caso de Nicaragua; secuencias formulaicas y su tratamiento en el espacio de ELE; y la función del diccionario en el aula, una herramienta para el aprendizaje del léxico, sus potencialidades y sus debilidades, el control de una práctica y la organización estratégica de su uso en las aulas de aprendizaje léxico. Al cabo, se trata de obra de provecho desde la universidad y para la universidad, para el especialista y/o los recién iniciados en los estudios científicos y didácticos sobre el léxico.

With a primary focus on Romance languages, including Spanish, Italian, French, and Portuguese, the book advocates for the adoption of innovative methodologies to enhance the nuanced retrieval of research data: the use of speaker’s attitudes questionnaires, apparent time constructions, and S-curves. Additionally, new materials are addressed as diachronic data sources: mass-media recordings from radio and TV, colloquial conversations, and sociolinguistic corpora. Results focus on the evolution of discourse markers, address terms, as well as on the influence of specific processes such as colloquialization or external mechanisms on the language changes developed during this period. In sum, the 20th century is presented in this book as a new strand in diachronic studies, rather than another time span.
