This book was released on 2007 with total page 76 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This was a descriptive study comparing the patients' perception of the relative importance of various nurse caring behaviors with the nurses' perception of the relative importance of the same nurse caring behaviors. A sample of 50 patients undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterization and 50 nurses who care for patients having cardiac catheterizations were asked to complete a Caring Behaviors Assessment. Consistent with previous studies, the patients and the nurses both identified assistance with human needs as the most important. Patients and nurses also identified the expression of positive and negative feelings as the least important of the nurse caring behaviors. However, nurses in this sample ascribed less importance to all the nurse caring behaviors than did the patients.
