Download or read book Perception Vs Truth Spirituality In Simple Words written by Eyal Cohen and published by . This book was released on 2021-02-22 with total page 120 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: By opening your mind, you can change your life in 180 degrees, making the phrase "Everything is in your head" more important than ever The perception of reality steers our thoughts, feelings, the choices we make and the way we live our life. It is the underlying reason why our lives are the way they are. People who never examine their point of view of the world miss the chance to significantly change their lives. What shapes our perception is the country we live in, society, culture, religion, parents, teachers, and publications like the internet, television, movies, radio, newspapers, and literature. Many people are misguided by their perceptions, which constantly get them into problems. This book, Perception vs. Truth, was born as a result of that insight. As the name suggests, much of the reality we take for granted in our lives simply isn't true. Perception vs. Truth is a wake-up call for all of us. It is a fascinating read, full of interesting insights. It is a spring to quench one's thirst for knowledge and understanding. It can open your mind to different ways of thinking, new feelings, and novel behavior. Perception vs. Truth is a reminder that our lives can change just by changing the way we're perceiving it.

Book Perceptions of Reality

Download or read book Perceptions of Reality written by Gregory Calise and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2003 with total page 122 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although we are all living in the same world, we are simultaneously each living in our own seperate universe, where each person observes himself as the center of that universe. Each person has a unique conditioning and belief structure that create his perspective in which he views reality. The world than interfaces witheach person to create a reality that conforms to his beliefs. A person's conditioning and beliefs affect his attitudes and emotions, which then magnetize certain energies that resonate to his state of being. In this way each individual is creating a seperate reality according to his perceptions of truth. What we percieve as reality is only the surface of a much deeper and greater truth. Beyond the apparent world lies the essence of life and a vast kingdom of hidden knowledge. Our conditioning and beliefs bind us to a certain perspective in which we view our reality. Perceptions of Reality show us how we can break free of the bondage of our conditioning that holds us in a life of mediocrity. When we become free from this bondage, we can change our perspective, which in turn, changes our perceptions. From a highter perspective we can see the larger picture of our lives and the world. We will see the circumstances that have created our present reality, and the relationships of events and experiences that were previously beyond our horizons of perception. From this higher perspective we will perceive the world in a new light. It will change brfore our eyes and interface with us in a new and more positive way. We will be able to take control of our lives, change our destiny and shape a new future. From this higher state of awareness, we will discover the portal to access the abstract mind, which is the mental function of genius and the doorway to revelation. From the perspective of revelation, we will open the doors into the absolute realms, beyond material time and space, and describes the perceptions of God, the soul, the world, and the paths to higher consciousness. Perceptions of Reality will show us how to access the abstract mind and open the doorways into revelation, creating a new reality, full of abundance, harmony and joy.

Book The Insights of Higher Awareness Understanding Spiritual Truth

Download or read book The Insights of Higher Awareness Understanding Spiritual Truth written by Rebecca Lilly and published by Green Dragon Books. This book was released on 2004-08 with total page 120 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Insights of Higher Awareness offers in-depth, but concise, explanations of essential spiritual truths thought to be common to all religions and spiritual paths, as well as practical guidance on spiritual growth. The book is both a combination of theory and practice, founded on the premise that the nature of spirit, and spiritual growth, are manifestations of heightened awareness, an awareness that moves beyond the ego (or ordinary self) into higher, spiritual realms. Because our ordinary awareness is greatly restricted, spiritual growth is a matter of expanding that awareness beyond its usual or everyday boundaries through a process known as dis-identification. To dis-identify with the ego is to heighten awareness, and this is the key to genuine happiness because it enables a person to overcome painful negative emotions, such as anger or hatred, and other forms of unhappiness that are the inevitable con- comitants of restricted ego-awareness. Heightened awareness not only has great practical benefits, as the way to achieving happiness and peace, but also provides an experiential means of understanding traditional spiritual problems, such as the problem of evil, and the meaning of life for human being

  • Author : Frederick D. Aquino
  • Publisher : Oxford University Press

  • ISBN : 0192523562
  • Pages : 371 pages

Download or read book Perceiving Things Divine written by Frederick D. Aquino and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2022-01-06 with total page 371 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sensory language is commonly used to describe human encounters with the divine. Scripture, for example, employs perceptual language like 'taste and see that the Lord is good', 'hear the word of the Lord', and promises that 'the pure in heart will see God'. Such statements seem to point to certain features of human cognition that make perception-like contact with divine things possible. But how precisely should these statements be construed? Can the elusive notion of 'spiritual perception' survive rigorous theological and philosophical scrutiny and receive a constructive articulation? Perceiving Things Divine seeks to make philosophical and theological sense of spiritual perception. Reflecting the results of the second phase of the Spiritual Perception Project, this volume argues for the possibility of spiritual perception. It also seeks to make progress towards a constructive account of the different aspects of spiritual perception while exploring its intersection with various theological and philosophical themes, such as biblical interpretation, aesthetics, liturgy, race, ecology, eschatology, and the hiddenness of God. The interdisciplinary scope of the volume draws on the resources of value theory, philosophy of perception, epistemology, philosophy of art, psychology, systematic theology, and theological aesthetics. The volume also draws attention to how spiritual perception may be affected by such distortions as pornographic sensibility and racial prejudice. Since perceiving spiritually involves the whole person, the volume proposes that spiritual perception could be purified by ascetic discipline, healed by contemplative practices, trained in the process of spiritual direction and the pursuit of virtue, transformed by the immersion in the sacramental life, and healed by opening the self to the operation of divine grace.

Hunger (as part of the survival instinct) and sexual cravings (survival of the species) are well developed in humanstwo instinctive urges that humans share with the animal world. Book The Truth about Self

    Book Details:
  • Author : sanjeev sareen
  • Publisher : sanjeev sareen
  • Release : 2023-03-26
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 188 pages

Download or read book The Truth about Self written by sanjeev sareen and published by sanjeev sareen. This book was released on 2023-03-26 with total page 188 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Noble award for physics, year 2022! Science has proved that the world is not real. New discoveries are turning scientists into philosophers. God has shifted His position from an extra-terrestrial heaven to the inner realm of human psyche. What was once explained in terms of divine creation is now in the purview of science. Now both science and Scriptures say that We create the world, Our own reality, with Our own ego, desires, mind and intellect. It cannot thus be said to be the absolute reality. Remember, our five senses are not our only means of knowledge. A fragment of reality sometimes reaches the intelligence in other ways which we are normally not aware of. Note that our reality is not the ultimate reality. Only we choose and observe it to be our reality. Whatever we are experiencing out there in the physical world is finally the experience of consciousness itself. As soon as we realize our own observation is the cause of everything, then we can decide to create another reality literally. Reality and truth are often misunderstood to convey the same meaning but strictly speaking they are not so. If we analyze these two words carefully, we can notice a subtle difference between them. Truth is always real; Reality is not always true. We need to know the truth which is through actual experience. Without realization, they are just ideas. Truth is within. The ultimate truth about Self, after knowing which nothing remains to be known, is a subject of search and research, reasoning and reflection, discussion and decision, and finally testing and experiencing it within. Every advance in knowledge brings us face to face with the mystery of our own being. This book is dwelling at length, from scientists stand point, as to how they say that the realities perceived at all the senses levels are illusions only. This book finally throws light on what is The Reality and what is The Truth; and at what platform it can be and must be perceived to get spiritual liberation and inner peace. Quite a number of mind-blowing concepts, theories are also given here - with few not even researched yet. The hidden Truth, you are told in this Spirituo-scientific exploration, will be of spiritual self- help nature. Finally, since it is all about us, our own higher dimensions only which normally we are not privy to, it is a must-read book for everyone and anyone for rising above sufferings of life and quicken our roller coaster journey of life through incarnations.

Book excerpt: Apple of Perception is a journey through metaphysics, philosophy and comparative religion that portrays a grand illustration of the spiritual foundation of our physical world. It focuses on spiritual growth and follows the light upon the path towards enlightenment. It compares and contrasts the mythos throughout the ages and bypasses the fallacies of modern thought in attempts to determine everything in reality to be telling the same story: a life lesson that involves a falling away from God. It also proposes how we can unveil the secrets to help us find our own way back.

Book God s Image In Man

Download or read book God s Image In Man written by Henry Wood and published by Jazzybee Verlag. This book was released on 2014-03-17 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If it were proposed in this volume to discuss historic or scholastic theology, or to enter the field of dogmatic or denominational speculation, no apology would be ample enough for the appearance of these simple lay studies. Coming, as they do, from a non-professional and thoroughly independent standpoint, they are clothed with no external authority. They are glimpses through the vision of the intuitive faculty; interpretations of the inner consciousness, rather than an intellectual or argumentative effort. They are inspired by no spirit of controversy, but are searches for Truth for its own sake; and their aim is to recognize it wherever found. Their acceptance by the reader must depend entirely upon the mirror like recognition of their truthfulness by his own spiritual perception. While the intellectual faculty, though trained never so highly, is often at fault (as shown by the great divergence of external systems), the writer believes that the cultivated human intuition has something of that exactness and perfection of which instinct on the lower planes of life is a prophecy. Divine truth is ever seeking to reveal itself through the channel of the Holy Spirit. "He will guide you into all truth." The soul centre of every human " image of God " is the highest and ultimate tribunal, before which principles, creeds, systems, and even bibles, must receive their interpretation.

  • ISBN : 1490837205

Download or read book Faith Is a Way of Life written by Ann Kegley and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2014-06-25 with total page 143 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Faith Is a Way of Life is a basic blueprint for living in the Kingdom of God. From the moment you receive Jesus as Lord and are born of His Spirit, it is essential to have a clear understanding of the significance of this decision. It is equally imperative to be aware of the major shift that occurs in your life spiritually because of the intrinsic repercussions. Otherwise, your life is filled with confusion and disappointment that God has nothing to do with, although He is the one who is mistakenly held responsible. With this broadened awareness, you experience a new dimension of perception. Then is when you realize a lifestyle change is evolving within you-from the former way you lived in the world to the new way of life in the Kingdom. You step into and encounter a culture change. And with any culture change, there are principles to learn and precepts to incorporate which bring an entirely new purpose for living. Faith Is a Way of Life describes and explains clearly what these changes are, the rationale for these changes, and the necessity to incorporate them as a regular way of life. In God's Kingdom, we have a God who loves us, cares for us, and wants to be our God, but who has rather high expectations for us because we are His and He knows the potential of our purpose. Plus, He wants us to know how to live with Him, because He plans for us to be with Him eternally.

Book In Spirit and in Truth

    Book Details:
  • Author : Alicia Reid,
  • Publisher : Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.
  • Release : 2020-01-14
  • ISBN : 1645699730
  • Pages : 147 pages

Download or read book In Spirit and in Truth written by Alicia Reid, and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2020-01-14 with total page 147 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book documents the cumulative life's work of God's humble servants Bishop Errol I. Reid and Dr. Alicia E. Reid. The contextual teachings are divinely inspired to lead people seeking spiritual truth to perceive clearer, purer, and unadulterated spiritual underpinnings of select biblical scrolls. Readers will envision divine underpinnings that run far beyond literal interpretations and pretexts of common doctrinal preconditioning. The authors' intent in writing this book is not to create controversies, yet in many instances, this book clashes with prevailing norms of established theological perceptions. It may find contentious and perhaps fierce resistance to wide acceptance, but so did all the divinely appointed and anointed patriarchs, prophets and the apostles, who stuck to the higher mission of the spiritual commission notwithstanding being socially ostracized, through hateful rejection that ultimately led to crude forms of death. The book also boldly treads in unchartered territory in instances, for example, where Jesus challenged Peter (in Luke 5:4) to launch out into the deep and let down his nets for a draught. Here dissected is Peter's reluctance to abandon his comfort zone in order to grasp beyond the veil of his developed expertise, only to find to his astonishment, there was a dimension beyond his carnal experiences where the manifestations of the Holy Spirit dissolve the impossible barriers of human perception, conception, and capabilities. Examples of the spiritual decoding contained in this book include: 1. Readers are guided to an in-depth understanding of how one can find and gain access to the essence of God through a certain interaction, through the quickening manifestations of the Holy Spirit that goes far beyond emotional or passionate appeasement, for then only can one receive the higher virtues that only faith draws from the hem of the divine garment (Luke 8:43""48). 2. Readers are reminded that God's children can never be satisfied, nor can they be fulfilled by merely the physical or carnal-minded level of their existence to serve God (Romans 8:5""8). 3. Readers are informed that one cannot actualize spiritually until one's doctrine is spiritually grounded and that follower encounters, embraces, and engages Holy Spirit manifestations that align one's soul conditioning to the only God-acceptable relationship. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23""24)
