En respuesta a esta exigencia, la metodología del Aprendizaje-Servicio (ApS) se ha instalado, poco a poco, en las universidades de países europeos, como España, y otros muchos de Latinoamérica, a través de experiencias innovadoras en todas las áreas de conocimiento. Su objetivo es mejorar los aprendizajes, aunando teoría y práctica y, a la vez, implicando al alumnado en el desarrollo y mejora de sus comunidades en un ejercicio de responsabilidad y compromiso cívico. En todo el proceso de desarrollo del ApS en educación superior, hay un aspecto al que, hasta el momento, no se le había prestado la debida atención. Se trata del tema de la evaluación, fase clave de todo diseño metodológico. Con el objetivo de profundizar en esta línea de investigación, y gracias al apoyo de la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), un nutrido grupo de profesores y profesoras de doce universidades españolas, expertos todos ellos en ApS, junto con la experiencia del Centro Latinoamericano de Aprendizaje y Servicio Solidario, de Argentina, se reúnen para abordar la evaluación desde diferentes perspectivas. Las propuestas, reflexiones y experiencias que aquí se presentan contribuirán a la mejora de los procesos de evaluación de aprendizaje de contenidos, de destrezas, pero también de competencias éticas y cívicas. De este modo, se enriquecerá el desarrollo de la calidad de los proyectos de Aprendizaje-Servicio en nuestras universidades.

Book excerpt: In this project aims to calculate the proportional difference in the development of skills among students using the Computer Assisted Teaching (CAT) and those without. To this end, we propose the hypothesis that the proportional difference in the development of skills among students using the CAT and those without, to study the subject Operating Systems is 30%. This will define the basic research project as a Quasi-Experimental design and correlational form, where they took 2 samples of 89 students, forming groups: CATG, which used computer-assisted instruction, and not used, NCATG. These groups was administered as a questionnaire and obtained partial notes on the subject. To obtain the results, we evaluate the hypothesis and compared the groups formed in the development of skills and academic performance.

Book excerpt: Based on twenty case studies of universities worldwide, and on a survey administered to leaders in 101 universities, this open access book shows that, amidst the significant challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, universities found ways to engage with schools to support them in sustaining educational opportunity. In doing so, they generated considerable innovation, which reinforced the integration of the research and outreach functions of the university. The evidence suggests that universities are indeed open systems, in interaction with their environment, able to discover changes that can influence them and to change in response to those changes. They are also able, in the success of their efforts to mitigate the educational impact of the pandemic, to create better futures, as the result of the innovations they can generate. This challenges the view of universities as "ivory towers" being isolated from the surrounding environment and detached from local problems. As they reached out to schools, universities not only generated clear and valuable innovations to sustain educational opportunity and to improve it, this process also contributed to transform internal university processes in ways that enhanced their own ability to deliver on the third mission of outreach
