Book Partnering for Growth

Download or read book Partnering for Growth written by Amy Vernberg Beekman and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2021-12-12 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First Published in 1999. The antecedents and consequences of forming partnerships across types and sizes of organizations have been addressed in the literature. Yet, most research has focused on the costs or benefits of these relationships at a given point in time. An issue that has not been addressed is the extent to which these long-term relationships continue to benefit the firm as the firm changes and grows. The aims of this study are to investigate whether action in accordance with the contrasting theoretical perspectives depends on the attributes of the value-chain partnership; and research to evaluate these contrasting perspectives on the relationship between value-chain partnerships and growth.

Download or read book The Reciprocity Advantage written by Bob Johansen and published by Berrett-Koehler Publishers. This book was released on 2014-09-15 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A powerful new kind of competitive advantage is now possible thanks to technological and social disruptions that are already occurring. These disruptions revolutionize how companies can partner to create new growth. The Reciprocity Advantage shares a model for creating that growth: define your right-of-way (the underutilized resources you already own that you can share with others), partner to do what you can’t do alone, experiment to learn, and scale the new business at low risk. Reciprocity and advantage are words that are not normally seen together, but reciprocity—giving now to get later—will become a normal part of winning in the future. The Reciprocity Advantage shows you how to leverage new forces like digital natives and cloud-served supercomputing now into massively scalable, profitable, incremental growth for your business. Provocative and pragmatic, leading ten-year forecaster Bob Johansen and experienced business developer Karl Ronn describe how to lean in to disruptions to create new growth for your business. They include actual cases showing early successes for a range of companies and nonprofits like IBM, Microsoft, Google, Apple, and TED. They then provide key exercises to define your promising new ideas and nurture them into healthy new businesses. Their recommendations are based on practical experience in managing the problems of new business creation and many years of helping others see the future more clearly. Distilled from hands-on work, this book gets you started today on creating your own reciprocity advantage.

Book The Bridge to Growth

Download or read book The Bridge to Growth written by Jude Rake and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2017-07-04 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A recent study revealed that only 21 percent of workers feel engaged and truly committed to their company’s success and goals. They don’t know how their work connects to their company’s goals or understand how they can help achieve them. Leaders have failed to fully engage workers in the development and execution of their company’s mission and goals, and ultimately its journey toward success. Too often, employees are over-managed and under-led. Jude Rake, a business leader with more than 35 years of experience leading high-performance teams, shows how servant leaders—those who serve employees by giving them what they need to fully engage and commit to achieving the company’s goals—use nine proven principles to succeed: Grow leaders and difference makers, not just followers. Build and orchestrate high-performance teams more powerful than the sum of their parts. Focus the organization on strategic priorities, simplify operations, and accelerate progress. Champion the people who purchase and use your products and services. Cultivate a performance-based culture of innovation. Communicate relentlessly. See the world through the eyes of others. Be the model you want emulated. Coach people to achieve more than they thought possible. The Bridge to Growth details how to use these principles to elevate workforce engagement, collaboration, innovation, and accountability to build a bridge from strategy to exceptional execution and results.

Book Innovate Collaborate Grow

Download or read book Innovate Collaborate Grow written by David Dessers and published by Die Keure Publishing. This book was released on 2020-03-05 with total page 251 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The past ten years are characterized by a strong growth in entrepreneurship and the accelerated creation of new businesses offering innovative products and services. The focus of this book is on startups and scaleups intending to scale their business through collaboration with corporates, primarily in the capacity of client or venture partner. No startup or scaleup can go-it-alone entirely and is required to collaborate with other partners to ensure growth. It is crucial for startups and scaleups to think beyond (corporate) venture capital financings and actively use a vast spectrum of corporate partnering arrangements to scale their business. This book thus takes an expansive approach and analyses corporate partnering transactions from a much broader perspective, covering several types of partnering models for collaboration between corporates and startups and scaleups, with a very strong focus on the perspective of the startups and scaleups while engaging in these types of transactions. Book Do Trading Partners Still Matter for Nigeria s Growth A Contribution to the Debateon Decoupling and Spillovers

Download or read book Do Trading Partners Still Matter for Nigeria s Growth A Contribution to the Debateon Decoupling and Spillovers written by Kingsley I. Obiora and published by International Monetary Fund. This book was released on 2009-10-01 with total page 31 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Should policymakers still be concerned about economic growth in trading partners? Have developing and emerging market countries decoupled from the US enough to grow despite significant recession in the US? Using VAR models, this paper addresses these questions for Nigeria in the context of the global crisis. The results seem to debunk the "decoupling theory" and suggest there are still significant spillovers from Nigeria's main trading partners, including the US, with trade and commodity price linkages being the dominant transmission channels. Given the sharp fall in both trade financing and commodity prices in aftermath of the crisis, these results provide some explanation to the realization of adverse second-round effects in Nigeria.
