While traveling through Colorado, a call from her son Andrew changed the course of the trip and her life. He was 27, living nearby and had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Love Pain tells the story of a young man who is finding himself just as his life is being cut short, and a mother who is coming to the realization that she is losing her son. A simple road trip became an epic journey of the soul. Set against the backdrop of tragic loss, the vignettes in Love Pain tell the story of travel, small miracles and finding strength. Book Love Is Greater Than Pain

Download or read book Love Is Greater Than Pain written by Marilyn Kapp and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2020-06-02 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An extraordinary new mindful approach to healing after loss that taps into everyone’s ability to continue their relationship with those who have passed. “Marilyn’s vast and masterful experience in communicating with passed loved ones illustrate what they want to teach us.”—Betty Jampel, LCSW When Marilyn Kapp was two years old, she watched her grandfather leave his body. He told her he would be back and he was true to his word. When Marilyn realized that others did not share her perception of the spiritual plane, she kept her channeling abilities to herself and her family. This changed when, as a college student, she met writer, Holocaust survivor, and future Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel. He became her mentor and encouraged her to use her perception to help others. In Love Is Greater Than Pain, Marilyn shares her profound understanding of the afterlife. Today a renowned medium, Marilyn reveals the beauty in the transition from the physical to the spiritual plane, helping those who are dying, as well as those left behind. With personal stories and transcripts from channeling sessions, Marilyn teaches us how to interact with the afterlife and to joyfully embrace the reality that love truly is greater than pain. Marilyn shares universal messages of comfort, forgiveness, and understanding, including specific guidance for bereaved parents, for those dealing with dementia, and even for people who are grieving for their animal friends. Marilyn’s groundbreaking seminal work offers practical advice, clear takeaways, and a new approach to death, grieving, and living your best life, sharing concrete steps for: • Raising your personal vibration to increase health, joy, and the ability to receive channeled information and love. • Helping yourself and others honor life while grieving. • Understanding the parallel process of growth that we share with those who have passed. When we honor life as we grieve, we offer healing and support to one another, as well as conscious collaboration with those who have passed.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Turning Pain into Love is a book about the power of God working through someone to transform their suffering into a lifelong blessing. So often the trials and tribulations of our life can make us feel hopeless and confused about who we are in this world. I believe, with the belief in something greater than ourselves, a positive attitude and the intention to make a difference in the world a person can turn anything into a gift. Anytime someone has been through an experience they now have the ability to help someone else that is going through the experience for the first time. Years ago when I was living in Santa Monica, California I came across a Reader's Digest. As I was flipping through the magazine I saw a quote, "I am not sure what Enlightenment is but I think it has something to do with turning pain into love". That phrase resonated with me and it has stuck with me ever since.

Book Aches Pains and Love

Download or read book Aches Pains and Love written by Kira Lynne and published by . This book was released on 2016-02 with total page 390 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you living with chronic pain or illness, or both? Have you given up on having an intimate, romantic relationship? Twenty years ago, a doctor told Kira Lynne that she would never be able to have an intimate relationship due to her chronic health conditions. Having proven that doctor wrong, Kira set out to write a book for people living with chronic pain and illness who believe the door has closed on their prospects for love and relationships. Living with chronic pain and illness can feel overwhelming, never mind adding intimacy into the mix. Yet, even though hundreds of thousands of people in North America alone suffer from such conditions, very little has been published on dating and relationships for people with chronic pain and illness. Aches, Pains, and Love addresses that need with wisdom, compassion, and humour. This is a book about hope, especially for those who feel that a loving relationship is beyond their reach due to their health conditions. You can have a loving, fulfilling partnership when you live with chronic pain and illness. It is possible to live joyfully in spite of illness and pain, to make new friends, deepen connections, and find lasting love and companionship in an intimate relationship. Both entertaining and practical, Aches, Pains, and Love provides a step-by-step guide to getting the love you want, regardless of your physical condition. From creating a strong personal foundation to finding prospective partners, to dating, to sex and beyond, Kira offers a host of real-life stories, frank practical observations, and specific tools that will help you decide what you really desire in a loving relationship and guide you toward achieving that happiness.

Book excerpt: I didn't want to fall in love. Love wasn't included in the plan I had laid out for myself. My plan was simple; go to school, graduate and become the most well-known corporate law attorney on the west coast. I had it all right in the palm of my hand until the day I heard her voice, saw her smile, and fell in love with the most gorgeous set of emerald eyes. Love hits you like a Mac truck and you're done for. Out of nowhere, you meet the person you can't see living your life without. Then an actual Mac truck hits you and rips your love away, taking your life right along with it. One moment she was there, the next I was left with my daughter and my newborn son. My daughter will only know her mother by the memories in her young mind and my son? He will never know her. He will never feel what's it's like to have the love of his mother because she was dead before he took his first breath. My love for my wife was replaced by anger. Anger that this was my life, anger that my children will grow up without her, anger that I asked her to join me the first day I met her, when I should have just sent her away. If I had sent her away, if I had kept to my plan, then she'd still be alive. She would be able to watch her own children grow, but I didn't and now she's gone. They say I'll move on. They say there's love after the pain. They say I'll learn to love again, but I can't. I can't give my heart to someone else when my wife took it with her.

Download or read book In Love in Pain written by Janice Moss and published by . This book was released on 2015-10-10 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In love In Pain reveals the strange, but so true correlation between love and pain. Being in love is associated with happiness and joy in the normal scheme of things. But in reality, there is often times so much pain associated with loving someone unconditionally. This book addresses the many sources of pain associated with loving. The pain of lies, deceit, disappointment, discovery, and the very harsh pain of being forced to accept reality instead of the perfect fantasy relationships we dream up for ourselves. In Love in Pain is a study of how women behave in relationships. It takes a candid look at the destructive behaviors women adopt while trying to find and maintain love. It is the rational mind in touch with the emotions of a woman. It is a candid look at how willing they are to give away parts of themselves to keep or attract men that if women truly are healthy they would not tolerate. The book reads like a suspense/romance novel style. But can serve as an personal examination and inventory that each woman can use to evaluate her life. Each story is a fictionalized depletion of a real life scenario. Where a woman finds herself faced with important decisions that will affect and effect her life and relationships. The stories of In Love In Pain are not designed to focus on men and how they treat women, but on how the woman's behavior, the woman's decisions and response to the stimuli created by love or obsession affects her life and her relationships. Each woman in the stories had to make decisions about how she would pilot her own life and how she would determine when it was appropriate for her to cut her losses and come to grips with a relationship where the love is overshadowed by the pain. The primary focus: how each woman responds to what she perceives as love and how she behaves in order to try to keep that love. In Love In Pain reveals the hard part of relationships and how women in love will put themselves in physical, emotional, spiritual and physical danger to keep the facade of a relationship that is not nourishing, supportive or fulfilling. Caitlyn, Dedra, Yasmine, Marva and Sherese are in love. Each one has some heavy decisions regarding that love. Can love conquer all things? Will Caitlyn's love be able to overcome her husband's second family? Is Dedra's love enough to endure a prison term? Will Yasmine's love be enough for her and her husband? Will Marva and Sherese's love overcome a con artist and lazy man? These women are faced with hard decisions but they don't have to face them alone. Each character has a pot on the stove boiling and it's about to boil over. Caitlyn finds out that everything she thought was her own is not, Dedra realizes that if loving her baby daddy is wrong she finally wants to be right. Yasmine understands that love must be a two-way street, while Marva's heart unfortunately cashes a check one too many times for her husband and Sherese can't see the gift in her situation. If the truth be known, what many if not most of the characters are looking for is not love, but rather, an in-love experience and that is exactly what they got. But they stayed too long and that experience turned to pain.Women when you finish reading it. Conveniently lay it around so that your man will pick it up. This book holds a very special message for men and women.I recently read this book and I would recommend this book to anyone who has loved someone too much only to find out they were not worthy of you. I went away from this book with a sense of hope and understanding of why people stay. The characters are people we know and love and in the best of trying to be there can be difficult and painful to watch. The author manages to give realistic outcomes for her characters. My hope is when you read this book you will know that you are not alone and there is help out there if you are willing to ask and accept it.
