The revela tions were carefully divided into two classes - those, namely, that are intimately connected with the history, and those that do not bear such a close connection. Of the for mer, examples are: sections 3, 11, 12, 13; and of the latter, sections 20, 76, and 107. The first were read carefully as they occur in their historical setting, the second were left to be considered under Part VII. When the study of the revelations, as such, was begun, a general subject, like the being and attributes of God, or the United Order, was assigned to every student in the class. On which he was to gather information as the study progressed and on which he was to write a theme. Then the revelations were gone over from the first, section by section. Those that had been considered in connection with the his tcry were pissed with little or no study, being valuable then only for the general principles they discussed. But those that had not been given much attention and that stand out more or less independent of the narrative, were taken up in detail. In this way a teacher may obtain a review of his historical work and at the same time get a connected and systematic body of thought on the principles of present - day revelation.
