Book Our Heavenly Father the Immutable Holy God

Download or read book Our Heavenly Father the Immutable Holy God written by Steven G. Miller and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2022-05-19 with total page 205 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I have been on a long spiritual journey studying Christian theology. Overtime, it became abundantly oblivious to me that if the Christian faith is really true, it is not being given the weight suggested by what we profess to believe. There are aspects of what we profess to believe that are very comforting, the Love of God for one. There are aspects of Christianity that are hard to understand, Hell as another example. These two aspects of our faith coexist in the immutable nature of God. Neither of these aspects of God's nature can ever be diminished or compromised. Since God cannot compromise His intrinsic nature, these truths give rise to our need for a all sufficient Savior. This book is exploring the wonders of God's salvific work to bring sinners into a right standing with our Heavenly Father.

This book was released on 2023-06-16 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over the years, it became increasing clear, that if the Christian faith is really true, it is not being given the seriousness of what we profession. As an example, there are aspects of the Christian faith that are very comforting: the love of God. There are also aspects of the faith that are hard to fully grasp: the immutable holiness of God. These two aspects of God's nature coexist in God's perfect nature; neither of which can ever be diminished or compromised. Therefore, this gives rise to a perceived problem: how can God love sinners and still remain uncompromisingly holy? This book explores the wonders of God's salvific work to bring sinners into a right standing with Himself. In this book, you will find the straightforward answer to the way of salvation, the motivations to live a life that is eternally meaningful, and explore essential doctrines that have been neglected.

Book excerpt: Charles Haddon Spurgeon's, The Immutability of God, will inspire and challenge you. Listen to Spurgeon: I know nothing which can so comfort the soul, so calm the swelling billows of grief and sorrow-so speak peace to the winds of trial-as a devout musing upon the subject of the Godhead. It is to that subject that I invite you this morning. We shall present you with one view of it-that is the immutability of the glorious Jehovah. "I am," says my text, "Jehovah," (for so it should be translated) "I am Jehovah, I change not; therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed."

Book The Knowledge of the Holy

Download or read book The Knowledge of the Holy written by A.W. Tozer and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2022-01-01 with total page 122 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A.W. Tozer maintained that a theologian’s message must be ‘both timeless and timely’, a sentiment borne out in the fact that his writing on worship still acts as an urgent warning today. Tozer is primarily concerned with the loss of the concept of ‘majesty’ from the popular mind and more importantly from the thinking of the church. He sees the church as having surrendered her once lofty concept of God – not deliberately, but little by little and without her knowledge. With this comes a further loss of religious awe and a sense of the divine presence, of an appropriate spirit of worship and of our ability to withdraw inwardly to meet God in adoring silence. Tozer addresses this problem, to go back to the causes of the decline and to understand and correct the errors that have given rise to our devotional poverty. ‘It is impossible to keep our moral practices sound and our inward attitudes right while our idea of God is erroneous or inadequate,’ he tells us. What is needed is a restoration of our knowledge of the holy.

Book excerpt: A Transforming Knowledge of the Living God The timeless appeal of this classic book, written by a preacher with a worldwide ministry during the first half of the twentieth century, demonstrates the deep hunger for a saving knowledge of God present in each generation. Arthur Pink sought to give readers not just a theoretical knowledge of God but pointed them toward a personal relationship of yielding to him and living according to his biblical precepts. Pink's book explores attributes such as God's decrees, foreknowledge, sovereignty, holiness, grace, and mercy, among many others, all packaged in a style especially useful for pastors, teachers, and Bible students. Our God who is above all names cannot be found through human searching alone, Pink teaches, but can be known only as he is revealed by the Holy Spirit through his living Word.

Book Gleanings in the Godhead

Download or read book Gleanings in the Godhead written by Arthur W. Pink and published by . This book was released on 2011-09-01 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Few who occasionally read the Bible are aware of the awe-inspiring and worship-provoking grandeur of the divine character. That God is great in wisdom, wondrous in power, yet full of mercy is assumed by many as common knowledge. But to entertain anything approaching an adequate conception of His being, nature, and attributes, as revealed in the Scripture, is something which very few people in these degenerate times have done. God is solitary in His excellency. "Who is like unto Thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?" (Ex. 15:11). Arthur Walkington Pink was an English Christian evangelist and Biblical scholar known for his staunchly Calvinist and Puritan-like teachings. Though born to Christian parents, prior to conversion he migrated into a Theosophical society (an occult gnostic group popular in England during that time), and quickly rose in prominence within their ranks. His conversion came from his father's patient admonitions from Scripture. It was the verse, Proverbs 14:12, 'there is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death, ' which particularly struck his heart and compelled him to renounce Theosophy and follow Jesus.

Book The Faith of Jesus Christ

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this important study Hays argues against the mainstream that any attempt to account for the nature and method of Paul's theological language must first reckon with the centrality of narrative elements in his thought. Through an in-depth investigation of Galatians 3:1-4:11, Hays shows that the framework of Paul's thought is neither a system of doctrines nor his personal religious experience but the "sacred story" of Jesus Christ.

He is a big God but at the same time is a personal God who knows each person's every need. God the Father set a plan in place to save humanity from itself. In this study, learn more about the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Yes, He is the heavenly Father of Jews and Gentiles alike. Unto Him comes all the glory and all the praise. He is Holy. He is almighty. Unto Him comes all power, for He is authority. May we draw closer to Him and let God Father us in His love, beauty and majesty.

Book To My Heavenly Father God In Jesus Name

Download or read book To My Heavenly Father God In Jesus Name written by Marilynn Cephas Belton and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-06-11 with total page 21 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After overcoming numerous obstacles, I was still empty on the inside and my life wounds were still open and painful. It wasn't until taking a private duty case to care for a gentleman that his wife asked me the question, "Do you pray?" and I realized that God had not forsaken me, but I had abandoned him. Prayers and reading the Bible became a daily part of my routine, and I started going to church faithfully. With every prayer, I received gifts from God. The darkness lifted, and the fog disappeared. My scars and bruises were healed by the grace of God. Joyfully, I found that I really liked myself and loved my Heavenly Father and Jesus for their grace and mercy. I turned my life fully over to God in 2008. This book is a result of my daily prayers and listening to God's divine guidance. When you read this book, you will feel the powerful presence of God. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. (Ps. 147:3) In Jesus name, Amen.
