Yet Buddy was as calm as if she were at home in her quiet little Swiss village. The traffic was so dense even in that wide street that it must have taken us at least three minutes to cross. They seemed like an hour. In all probability no other three minutes in history have been as im portant to the blind, for as each second was ticked off Buddy gave further proof that the blind of this country could be set free.
