Book excerpt: Arlo Sylmar the creator of Evol, is so deluded by his own interpretation of his own world - made from glass. As he loses track of what’s happening to his creations. His world starts deteriorating by becoming as his creations, robotic, and manic. As he loses all empathy, the suffering of losing himself gets him playing both sides of the coin in order to set a balance between being pure and dark. Evol is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, in a spectrum of color. Mio rolls dice with self-hate, in order to get the creator’s attention. His imaginary creatures start plotting against him, as they start showing him the many versions of himself. The creations start noticing that such vengeance is not worth inflicting on those who have harmed him. As he himself is one of them.

Book Homofobia en los Balcanes

Download or read book Homofobia en los Balcanes written by Miguel Rodríguez Andreu and published by Editorial UOC. This book was released on 2015-06-19 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

    Book Details:
  • Author : Davit Marchuet Màs
  • Publisher : Caligrama

Download or read book El juego de tres written by Davit Marchuet Màs and published by Caligrama. This book was released on 2018-09-28 with total page 523 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Prohibido enamorarse.

Book Modern Argentine Poetry

    Book Details:
  • Author : Ben Bollig
  • Publisher : University of Wales Press
  • Release : 2011-06-15
  • ISBN : 1783164697
  • Pages : 253 pages

Download or read book Modern Argentine Poetry written by Ben Bollig and published by University of Wales Press. This book was released on 2011-06-15 with total page 253 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the first to focus specifically on the exile-poetry link in the case of Argentina since the 1950s. Throughout Argentina's history, authors and important political figures have lived and written in exile. Thus exile is both a vital theme and a practical condition for Argentine letters, yet conversely, contemporary Argentina is a nation of immigrants from Europe and the rest of Latin America. Poetry is often perceived as the least directly political of genres, yet political and other forms of exile have impinged equally on the lives of poets as on any group. This study concentrates on writers who both regarded themselves as in some way exiled and who wrote about exile. This selection includes poets who are influential and recognised, but in general have not enjoyed the detailed study that they deserve: Alejandra Pizarnik, Juan Gelman, Osvaldo Lamborghini, Nestor Perlongher, Sergio Raimondi, Cristian Aliaga, and Washington Cucurto.

Book Rise and Fall of the Cosmic Race

Download or read book Rise and Fall of the Cosmic Race written by Marilyn Grace Miller and published by University of Texas Press. This book was released on 2009-07-21 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Latin America is characterized by a uniquely rich history of cultural and racial mixtures known collectively as mestizaje. These mixtures reflect the influences of indigenous peoples from Latin America, Europeans, and Africans, and spawn a fascinating and often volatile blend of cultural practices and products. Yet no scholarly study to date has provided an articulate context for fully appreciating and exploring the profound effects of distinct local invocations of syncretism and hybridity. Rise and Fall of the Cosmic Race fills this void by charting the history of Latin America's experience of mestizaje through the prisms of literature, the visual and performing arts, social commentary, and music. In accessible, jargon-free prose, Marilyn Grace Miller brings to life the varied perspectives of a vast region in a tour that stretches from Mexico and the Caribbean to Brazil, Ecuador and Argentina. She explores the repercussions of mestizo identity in the United States and reveals the key moments in the story of Latin America's cult of synthesis. Rise and Fall of the Cosmic Race examines the inextricable links between aesthetics and politics, and unravels the threads of colonialism woven throughout national narratives in which mestizos serve as primary protagonists. Illuminating the ways in which regional engagements with mestizaje represent contentious sites of nation building and racial politics, Miller uncovers a rich and multivalent self-portrait of Latin America's diverse populations.
