In “Christmas and Carol” a semi-truck driver picks up a hitchhiker on Christmas Eve and learns about empathy and forgiveness, both giving and receiving. Then in “Kosher for Christmas” a Jewish man delivers a surprise package and receives a surprise himself. The story “Jesus of Nazareth Texas” features an innocent man in jail on Christmas Eve, an unlikely setting to learn the true meaning of Christmas but he manages nonetheless. Finally, in “A Barry Christmas” hard core Barry must fill in as a store Santa Claus and he discovers that not all children think only of material things. By helping a little girl get what she wants for Christmas he receives something unexpected himself.
