Book Oneness With God 2nd Edition

Download or read book Oneness With God 2nd Edition written by Ronald E. Richardson and published by Hybrid Global Publishing . This book was released on 2017-08-04 with total page 198 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Attorney Ronald E. Richardson’s real passion is his faith in Jesus Christ aka Yeshua HaMashiach. His obsession with man’s inability to come to terms with the concept of being created to be God in the flesh has led him to publish his first book, Oneness With God: A Christian Attorney’s Analysis of What It Means to be Created in the Image and After the Likeness of God in 2006 with Beckham Publications Group, Inc. He was the first recipient of the Agape Gospel Academy literary award presented at the Apollo Theater in February, 2007. Since then, Richardson has embarked on a further theological exploration into the mysteries of God to be examined in his Revised Edition. Richardson, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, has decided to revise his current publication by inserting additional material and insight. In the revised edition described here, he modifies some of the content in the 2006 edition; he expounds upon new interpretations of scripture that will amaze and excite even the most ardent Christians and prepares the reader for the expansion of theme he will explore in the new title. Ron Richardson is convinced that God is orchestrating the timeliness and uniqueness of his vision; the substantial readership audience that exists for his platform, and his ability to captivate that audience by pursuing various marketing platform strategies. To be sure, the Association of American Publishers showed a year-to-date increase in the religion category of 2.9% in 2010. That survey does not include book club sales, organization sales, and other non-traditional distribution efforts not generally counted. Richardson sees his typical reader as a combination of the average worshiper seeking a more intimate relationship with his God; the professional and student scholar who are committed to improving their understanding of the Holy scriptures and the unsaved among mankind who seek an introduction to their Creator God and His unconditional love.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mysticism and science: What do they have in common? How can one enlighten the other? Drawing on the insights of physics and Jewish mysticism, Daniel Matt uncovers the sense of wonder and oneness that connects us with the universe and God. He describes in understandable terms the parallels between modern cosmology and ancient Kabbalah. He shows how science and religion together can enrich our spiritual understanding. We “embody the energy” of the big bang, writes Matt. Furthermore, “God is not somewhere else, hidden from us. God is right here hidden from us.” To discover the presence of God, Matt draws on both science and theology, fact and belief, and on the truths embodied in Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Christianity, as well as Judaism. A rich dialogue between the physical and the spiritual, God & the Big Bangtakes us on a deeply personal, thoughtful and inspiring journey that helps us find our place in the universe—and the universe in ourselves.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Parakeets make delightful pets. We cage them or clip their wings to keep them where we want them. Scot McKnight contends that many, conservatives and liberals alike, attempt the same thing with the Bible. We all try to tame it. McKnight's The Blue Parakeet calls Christians to stop taming the Bible and to let it speak anew to our heart. McKnight challenges us to rethink how to read the Bible, not just to puzzle it together into some systematic belief but to see it as a Story that we're summoned to enter and to carry forward in our day.

Book The One Who Is

  • Author : Dr. Kenny Rhodes
  • Publisher : WestBow Press
  • Release : 2015-02-27
  • ISBN : 149086489X
  • Pages : 252 pages

Download or read book The One Who Is written by Dr. Kenny Rhodes and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2015-02-27 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a comprehensive and concise treatment of the philosophical, theological and biblical issues related to the doctrine of God. Within its pages the nature, existence, and tri-unity of God are presented in an understandable and clear manner. The authors objective was to hold in highest regard the text of Holy Scripture while reflecting the biblical position of the historic orthodox faith. The books tone is polemic and passionate, sincere and scholarly with a commitment to communicate the truth of Gods Word with simplicity and profundity. Also, between its covers, you will find a wealth of information with numerous references and explanatory notes for clarification and further personal study. The book is arranged around the concept of the term logos which suffixes many other words and turns them into fields of study, as in the phrase theology (Theos-logos). The term Logos refers to the concepts of epistemology, ontology, and hermeneutics. Applied to the doctrine of God, its organization deals with Knowing God, the Being of God, and Communicating God. This corresponds to Thomas Aquinass approach to understanding God, in the questions: what is God (we define God by negation, what He is not); how do we know God (we know him by His effects); how do you communicate or explain God (God is communicated to us by His names, that is, His attributes). The book, furthermore, presents a classic and newly reworked argument for the existence of God called the Existential Argument, which is based on the notion of being.

Book The Metaphor of God Incarnate

Download or read book The Metaphor of God Incarnate written by John Hick and published by Westminster John Knox Press. This book was released on 2006-01-01 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this groundbreaking work, John Hick refutes the traditional Christian understanding of Jesus of Nazareth. According to Hick, Jesus did not teach what was to become the orthodox understanding of him: that he was God incarnate who became human to die for the sins of the world. Further, the traditional dogma of Jesus' two natures--human and divine--cannot be explained satisfactorily, and worse, it has been used to justify great human evils. Thus, the divine incarnation, he explains, is best understood metaphorically. Nevertheless, he concludes that Christians can still understand Jesus as Lord and the one who has made God real to us. This second edition includes new chapters on the Christologies of Anglican theologian John Macquarrie and Catholic theologian Roger Haight, SJ.

Book Historical Theology

    Book Details:
  • Author : Gregg Allison
  • Publisher : Zondervan Academic
  • Release : 2011-04-19
  • ISBN : 031041041X
  • Pages : 898 pages

Download or read book Historical Theology written by Gregg Allison and published by Zondervan Academic. This book was released on 2011-04-19 with total page 898 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Historical Theology presents the key pillars of the contemporary church and the development of those doctrines as they evolved from the history of Christian thought. Most historical theology texts follow Christian beliefs in a strict chronological manner with the classic theological loci scattered throughout various time periods, movements, and controversies—making for good history but confusing theology. This companion to the classic bestseller Systematic Theology is unique among historical theologies. Gregg Allison sets out the history of Christian doctrine according to a topical-chronological arrangement—one theological element at a time instead of committing to a discussion of theological thought according to its historical appearance alone. This method allows you to: Contemplate one tenet of Christianity at a time, along with its formulation in the early church—through the Middle Ages, Reformation, and post-Reformation era, and into the modern period. Become familiar with the primary source material of Christian history's most important contributors, such as Cyprian, Augustine, Aquinas, Luther, Calvin, Barth, and others. Understand the development of evangelical doctrine with a focus on the centrality of the gospel. Discern a sense of urgent need for greater doctrinal understanding in the whole church. Historical Theology is an easy-to-read textbook for any Christian who wants to know how the church has come to believe what it believes today. Gregg Allison's clear and concise structure make this resource an ideal introduction to Christian doctrine.

Book Loving God through the Truth Second Edition

Download or read book Loving God through the Truth Second Edition written by Mark Kim and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2023-05-25 with total page 454 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The word theology is often construed by many as referring to a very dry and academic discipline only reserved for the professional clergy and seminary professors. Many lay Christians in the church are intimidated by the subject and feel it to be a tedious intellectual exercise that is of no use for their spiritual growth and mission of the church. In an attempt to address this concern, Mark Kim presents here an introductory systematic theology that deals with the core doctrinal topics of Christianity that is accessible for the average layperson. The work will engage heavily with Scripture and the voices of the past and present who have contributed to the total theological voice of the church at large. In this second edition of the work, there is included an extra chapter on the doctrine of the Christian life. As pointed out in the first edition of the work, theology should foremost be practical in its results and application. The author addresses this concern by including a new chapter discussing the nature of the Christian life and how Christians should live in the world.

Book Conversations with God for Teens

Download or read book Conversations with God for Teens written by Neale Donald Walsch and published by Hampton Roads Publishing. This book was released on 2012-10-01 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Suppose you could ask God any question and get an answer. What would it be? Young people all over the world have been asking those questions. So Neale Donald Walsch, author of the internationally bestselling Conversations with God series had another conversation. Conversations with God for Teens is a simple, clear, straight-to-the-point dialogue that answers teens questions about God, money, sex, love, and more. Conversations with God for Teens reads like a rap session at a church youth group, where teenagers discuss everything they ever wanted to know about life but were too afraid to ask God. Walsch acts as the verbal conduit, showing teenagers how easy it is to converse with the divine. When Claudia, age 16, from Perth, Australia, asks, "Why can't I just have sex with everybody? What's the big deal?", the answer God offers her is: "Nothing you do will ever be okay with everybody. 'Everybody' is a large word. The real question is can you have sex and have it be okay with you?" There's no doubt that the casual question-and-answer format will help make God feel welcoming and accessible to teens. Conversations with God for Teens is the perfect gift purchase for parents, grandparents, and anyone else who wants to provide accessible spiritual content for the teen(s) in their lives.

Book Genesis Your Journey Home 2Nd Edition

Download or read book Genesis Your Journey Home 2Nd Edition written by Terry L. Newbegin and published by BalboaPress. This book was released on 2011-04-21 with total page 705 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Genesis: Your Journey Home is a groundbreaking book that goes far beyond the usual levels of biblical interpretations, and the ideas taught by religion that are difficult to understand. It bypasses word definition, root studies, historical explanations, and the ideas taught by religion that are difficult to understand but are important. This book examines the first twenty-five chapters, verse by verse, exploring and revealing the deeper metaphysical (beyond the literal) meaning of the text. Most people know that there are multiple levels of truth contained within the Bible, but until now none have brought forth the ultimate Truth hidden within the mundane, semi-historical writings. Rather than creating new doctrines, this book gently peels back ALL levels of dogmatic views to reveal the true core essence of God, humanity, and the nature of reality. Deep within the ancient biblical text is found the true story (record) of creation, the reason for our very existence, and the history of All That IS. This book is for those that are searching for authenticity, purpose, and a sense that truth lies somewhere beyond religious teachings but who are reluctant to discard the inherent value of scripture. This book brings comfort, personal empowerment, a new understanding of God, and fosters a renewed sense of responsibility for life. It is a book whose time has come at last, as it brings humanity to a deeper understanding of God and a realization of their ultimate purpose.
