Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ON THE TRAIL OF THE ANTI-CHRIST World War I opened the pandora's box of modern, sophisticated warfare. This only whetted the appetite of those who had profited by that experience. World War II was an adjunct to this and despite the invention of the atomic bomb, mankind has shown itself incapable of governing itself. The UN or the United Nations has been ineffective in its role also. The Apostle John probably had the answer to the World's woes when he wrote the Book of Revelation of the Bible. Many leading Christians and Pastors tell us we are very close to or are in the time spoken of by John. The author seeks to give his insight into these events. If little Gaza in Palestine draws so much attention by the EU and the world's leaders, surely an occasion know as Armageddon is a possibility and according to the Bible is a certainty. To refute this is to deny life. Weldon Fritzel was raised in a very conventional Christian family in Wisconsin. Christian principles were strictly adhered to. His Father and relatives played prominent parts during war production in World War II. The author served in the Army in Korea during that war. He later enlisted in the Air Force so is familiar with military life. A close relative mentioned in his teens that she had a vision of things in the Book of Revelation and this has always intrigued him. He has always tried to interpret modern events to scripture and this book is an attempt to do this.

This book was released on 2013-03-24 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This scholarly volume is a masterful work of suspense and at times reads like a novel. But the documentation contained herein is not a work of fiction. It is frighteningly true. The sheer shock value of the book may well place it among the classics of Bible Prophecy. Ezekiel T. Abernathy III is a voice crying in the spiritual wilderness of Bible Prophecy Teaching. His firm grasp on the science of Biblical gematria establishes the network of identifications he sets forth in this work. His flow of thought is air-tight and waterproof. He leaves no stone unturned in his pursuit of the Antichrist whom he tracks down with the skill of an Iroquois pathfinder.

Book The Roman Monster

Download or read book The Roman Monster written by Lawrence Buck and published by Penn State Press. This book was released on 2014-02-22 with total page 275 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In December 1495 the Tiber River flooded the city of Rome causing extensive drowning and destruction. When the water finally receded, a rumor began to circulate that a grotesque monstrosity had been discovered in the muddy detritus—the Roman monster. The creature itself is inherently fascinating, consisting of an eclectic combination of human and animal body parts. The symbolism of these elements, the interpretations that religious controversialists read into them, and the history of the image itself, help to document antipapal polemics from fifteenth-century Rome to the Elizabethan religious settlement. This study examines the iconography of the image of the Roman monster and offers ideological reasons for associating the image with the pre-Reformation Waldensians and Bohemian Brethren. It accounts for the reproduction and survival of the monster's image in fifteenth-century Bohemia and provides historical background on the topos of the papal Antichrist, a concept that Philip Melanchthon associated with the monster. It contextualizes Melanchthon’s tract, “The Pope-Ass Explained,” within the first five years of the Lutheran movement, and it documents the popularity of the Roman monster within the polemical and apocalyptic writings of the Reformation. This is a careful examination and interpretation of all relevant primary documents and secondary historical literature in telling the story of the origins and impact of the most famous monstrous portent of the Reformation era.

Book excerpt: "History established the pattern through world floods, Egyptian plagues, tribulations of all kinds. God leads his people through life's disasters, not around them. First the Antichrist rejects the pretribulation rapture scenario that God will open an escape route so Christians will be spared persecution. Rather, in a complex chain of events Christ will gather the church out of the world only after seven years of intense suffering, when Christ returns to rule. In this close study of church history and debated Bible texts, Bob Gundry shows that the pretribulation rapture is a recent innovation. It is wishful thinking that came to grab the pre-millennial spotlight. But serious scholars are backing away. It just doesn't accord with what the Bible says. In First the Antichrist, Gundry lays out a more biblical (and accurate) picture. First the Antichrist is a much needed contribution to apocryphal and pre-millennial prophecy studies."--Midwest Book Review

Book excerpt: The doctrine of the Antichrist is one of the most interesting doctrines found in Scripture, says author Kim Riddlebarger. Unfortunately, it's also one which has been subject to far more speculation than sound biblical exegesis. Until now. Unlike other resources available on the Antichrist, The Man of Sin focuses on Scripture, not contemporary events, to uncover the truth about this mysterious entity. With skilled exegesis Riddlebarger asserts that, contrary to popular speculation, the Antichrist is not a singular individual but a series of beings that will arise to challenge Christ throughout the inter-advental age before culminating in an end-times Antichrist. Backing this claim first in Scripture, Riddlebarger also draws from historical teachings including those of the church fathers, the Reformation, and historic Protestantism, before contrasting this evidence to the sensational interpretations of many contemporary writers. Pastors, teachers, and study groups wanting to understand the doctrine of the Antichrist will find The Man of Sin to be a unique and comprehensive study.

Book The Rise of the Antichrist

Download or read book The Rise of the Antichrist written by Lowell B. Hudson and published by Pletho. This book was released on 2018-11-13 with total page 510 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Does the idea of Biblical Prophecy seem ... well, laughingly absurd, galactically improbable? Good! It's supposed to seem that way. In fact, for Biblical prophecy to work properly, its readers have to be highly skeptical. Biblical prophecy requires, even promotes uber-skepticism at times to evoke the intended response in its readers. The credibility of its message, that its words were authored by God, gains increased potency as the highly improbable happens again and again. When the absurdly improbable actually occurs, over and over, in documented, historically verifiable situations, our fundamental assumptions are challenged. We are confronted with the possibility that, on a truly foundational level, everything we thought we knew may really be wrong or radically incomplete. That's what Biblical prophecy is about on a macro level. That's its big idea. Biblical prophecies also seek to warn about particularly important slices of future history. Not because that future can be changed, but so it can be met with integrity and intact faith. This book is obviously focused on those Biblical prophecies involving the Antichrist's rise to power. By using careful time honored traditional methods of Biblical investigation, we'll have a serious and sober look at what the Scriptures really say about this future world ruler. There are also some new discoveries that many would find surprising, even shocking. Now, that's a lot to swallow all at once. That the future is knowable on some level, and that it's going to be so horrible. Why would anyone want to believe this could happen? Deep down, I don't want to believe it. It's so much easier to reject it, than to allow it to threaten your whole frame of reference. That tug of war, that vague unease, that's supposed to happen too. It's Biblical prophecy doing its thing. It takes a lot of guts to consider ideas that have the power to explode your comfortable world view. If you decide to read this book, remember, it's ok to be skeptical. It's absolutely required for a healthy mind. But resist the awful temptation to reject out-of-hand. Aside from being an addictive and lazy habit, it just may deprive you someday of knowing that wonderful excruciating panic of having your mind blown open.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “True it is that all who deny the Father and the Son are antichrists. It is also true that there are many antichrists abroad today; and that ‘the man of sin’ of the tribulation period will be known as ‘the Antichrist.’ But seeing that Satan is at the back of all anti-Christian forces, and the instigator of all open hatred to God and to His Christ, he can be fitly termed—Satan, the Antichrist.” —Herbert Lockyer We live in a time when people have cast off restraint. Behaviors and beliefs that would have shocked previous generations are now accepted as commonplace. As believers, we know who is responsible for the rotten state of the world: Satan. In these perilous times, it is imperative for the saints of God to fully recognize the strategy and devices of the enemy. A complete understanding of Satan and his plans will force us to look upon these tangled times with knowing eyes. In Satan the Antichrist, best-selling Bible teacher Herbert Lockyer traces the diabolical plan of Satan through both the Old and New Testaments, and forward through the ages, including the church period and during and after the tribulation. He reveals the spiritual weapons at our disposal, that we might remain resistant and vigilant in our faith by using both the Word of God and the blood of Christ in the promised vanquishing of this evil antichrist.
