However, the inspiration for Corto may already be at this rooftop gathering in Venice. Antonino Saggio, professor in architecture at the Sapienza University of Rome, reconstructs the young mens' relationship through a set of photographs of that day and recognizes his uncle in a completely unexpected role among the young friends joking above the roofs of Venice.
