While an exile in France, he became a Christian, and on succeeding to his throne brought to England a Burgundian, Felix, who was consecrated bishop of Dum moc, or Dunwich, in East Anglia, and assisted him in founding a school, or schools, like those he had seen in France, in which his subjects might be educated.
