Book On My Way Home I Bumped into God

Download or read book On My Way Home I Bumped into God written by Raymond J. Golarz and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2016-11-10 with total page 165 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book the authors use stories to take you on a journey that explores the strategies God uses to ensure that we come His way. The stories are often gentle, portraying, for example, the innocence that can occur only in childhood, or the pure joy that is experienced when a child recovering from a brain tumor comes home to stay. But the stories can also be graphically disturbing as is seen in the description of a factory co-worker whose arm is crushed in a massive press or the horrific depiction of the senseless beating of an adolescent child. However, all the stories will show how God acts directly or indirectly in our lives. As you read, you will see Gods unexpected presentation of Himself in the form of a Chicago beggar and His warm presence in the eyes of a younger brother. Other stories reveal that God never gives up on us, placing in our lives people who teach us about the strength, wisdom, compassion, and courage needed to love and finally come home to Him. Unlike what some of us may have been taught about a God of vengeance and power, this book focuses upon a God of compassion and boundless love and upon the patient heart of the Father aching for response, the Lover who without reciprocation continues to love. Chapter after chapter, examples are given to show how God is constantly sweeping and making clear our path to Him. From the time of our birth, we are all on our journey home. In the opinion of the authors, those nudges and bumps we feel on the way are never accidental. They are the prodding and pushing of a God who simply refuses to let us go, a God who is the consummate lover.

Never imagined this is how God was going to capture my heart but he did and so the journey begun. This provided insight on how God healed my broken heart as he mended and repaired my being. At first it felt like I went in for an open heart surgery and I was not on any medication so every single thing that was touched on I really felt it. As painful as some of the things done to me in the past felt, I came to understand that was the reason why my Lord was there so I chose to allow Him into my life for healing to begin. It was in Him to give and so a new heart was provided for me to be able to live pain free. As I accepted the gift I was given I felt the heart beat like never before. A tear drop rolled down my cheek and I knew I was transformed. I came to find out it was new life in me. I was coming out a new person, a new being who was no longer conformed to the world but renewed, enlightened & enriched. I woke up and realized I was no longer sleeping beauty as I got the awakening. To me that was healing from the house of heaven. I was now free from heartache, no longer day dreaming but living the dream. The documentary touches on life experiences and showcases a woman's journey as she worked to free herself from oppression rebuilding her life to make it out of the wilderness alive. It turned out to be a journey of a lifetime.

Book Snapshots of God s Caring Presence

Download or read book Snapshots of God s Caring Presence written by Raymond J. Golarz and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2024-04-30 with total page 109 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With an array of stories the author affirms that throughout our lives God is there. Sometimes He is there simply enjoying with us the gifts and treasures He has provided. And at other times He is there in our sad and tragic moments, sitting quietly at our side. This book, Snapshots of God’s Caring Presence is a collection of this author’s true and favorite short stories revealing in a multitude of ways God’s caring presence. As you read, you will sit with a barefoot little girl playing joyfully with God as they enjoy the little tadpoles in her long ago pond. In another story you will watch Jose, with God’s guidance, save the life of this book’s author. Still, further as you read, you will observe the women in a poverty neighborhood, fashion and sew little Catherine’s first dress and coat—clothing her mother could never afford. You will listen to the old saw sharpener as he relates God’s wisdom to the neighborhood children sitting with God in the grass near his feet. You will feel the biting, winter-cold wind as along with neighborhood youth you will help put into gunny sacks coal collected from the railroad tracks—coal that will provide heat for the homes of their neighbors. You will savor the joy of God’s work as you sit later with them enjoying coffee around a pot-bellied-stove. Finally, some stories will take you to the edge of our reality. Was God really there? Did I dream it? The stories of the book will flow to and around you, and you will feel God’s caring presence page after page. As noted in the book’s preface, you may not want to read too quickly for every story is intended to provide its own unique flavor.

Book With God in Russia

Download or read book With God in Russia written by Walter Ciszek and published by Ignatius Press. This book was released on 2009-09-03 with total page 444 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Father Walter Ciszek, S.J., author of the best-selling He Leadeth Me, tells here the gripping, astounding story of his twenty-three years in Russian prison camps in Siberia, how he was falsely imprisoned as an "American spy", the incredible rigors of daily life as a prisoner, and his extraordinary faith in God and commitment to his priestly vows and vocation. He said Mass under cover, in constant danger of death. He heard confession of hundreds who could have betrayed him; he aided spiritually many who could have gained by exposing him. This is a remarkable story of personal experience. It would be difficult to write fiction that could honestly portray the heroic patience, endurance, fortitude and complete trust in God lived by Fr. Walter Ciszek, S.J.

A quest to fi nd his father at the battlefront. Michael fi nds himself surrounded by danger and bleakness on the way to war. He knew he needed to be strong as he collected the pieces of the full armor of God. The full armor of God would protect him when he reached his father and fought with him. Can Michael do it? Can he gather the pieces of God’s armor in time? Will the temptation to run away be too great to overcome? Will the new friends he makes on his quest be able to help him in battle? Will his faith in the True King be enough to see him through his trials? Although Michael’s story takes place long ago and far away, it is an important reminder that we need to face each day cloaked in the full armor of God. Ephesians 6: 13-18

Book Romans Road For The Deaf A Step Of Faith

Download or read book Romans Road For The Deaf A Step Of Faith written by Bryan Palumbo and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2017-06-20 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Will God still use you if you wander away from Him and later repent? Many Christians think that God could never use them in His service because they were backslidden for a long time. It's difficult for them to get involved in a church ministry because they feel guilty and ashamed for straying away from the Lord. Even after they have repented and God has led them back to the church to grow strong in the Lord daily, they continue to struggle in the area of service. I know; I was one of them. However, one night at a missions conference, a missionary family sang a song, "Here am I, Lord, Send Me," and I asked God if He would send me and use me. God opened the door for me to go to the DeafNation World Expo with the Silent Word Ministries International team. During the week, God stirred my soul by showing me that Deaf people around the world need the Lord Jesus. For twenty-seven years, I was a careless Christian and lived with the attitude that "God will forgive me all the time." God finally broke my hard heart and let me see what He really wanted me to do. Through the burden God gave me to reach the Deaf around the world, Romans Road for the Deaf was born. It was a faith ministry, and we had to step out in faith and trust Him to start. The beginning was rough. However, God is always good, and He has saved many Deaf and Hearing souls at DeafNation expos. In this book, you will be inspired to read how God has worked in us and through us in His powerful ways to reach many thousands in just eight hours a day at every city where we have been. I pray that these stories will be a blessing to you and will help you to witness for Jesus with gladness and boldness wherever God may use you.

Book May to May My Journey to Self love with God

This book was released on 2024-08-16 with total page 323 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of society’s main problems today is a lack of self-love; this is evident in the way most people live their lives – sadly, I was also part of the statistic. The fact that I was not living life to the full bothered me in many ways. I was not running my own race; I constantly compared myself to others; I had not accepted myself for who I was, and I had not taken full responsibility for my life. I was merely alive and confused. Although everything on the outside looked good, I felt miserable. I learned the hard way that what goes on inside us is more important than what people can see. A lack of self-love impacted most areas of my life negatively - I knew something needed to change. Once I had surrendered my life to God, He helped me see my own value. I started May to May – My Journey to Self-love with God to move my life in the right direction. After discovering the 20 components that lead to self-love, my life has never been the same. I could finally accept myself just as I was. I am proud to say there is no other race I would rather run than my own. I needed to love myself first, so I could truly live.

Book excerpt: What was the most stinging moment that you have experienced, one that might have hurt you deeply and caused you to be angry, bitter, or even hopeless? One of mine was when I received my performance review after clocking an average sixty-hour work week for eight months in a new position. I devoted myself to overcoming the challenges and excelling in my job. I stayed in faith and trusted in God for a breakthrough. It ended with my supervisor telling me, You know what? I think I made a mistake in employing you. Ironically, through the passage of time, God turned the same situation bottom up while transforming me inside out. I later conceded that my supervisor was right. Similarly, Joseph fell from being a highly favored son to being a lowly servant before he ascended supernaturally to become the second most powerful man in Egypt. Yet Joseph still faced challenges after his promotion. Written by a nonministerial Christian, The Successful Slave speaks of a journey of spiritual and emotional growth. It explores the meaning of success when God called Joseph successful at one of the lowest points of his life. It brings hope to its readers through personal testimonies that resonate with the challenges that everyone faces in their everyday lives. Using the backdrop of Josephs story, the faithfulness of God is seen manifesting in my life as a full-time working adult. Every chapter not only speaks of Gods goodness toward me but also ends with an encounter in which I share Gods goodness with people around me. Be encouraged.

Book excerpt: Clonenstein was given to me by God, as a revelation of things to come. There is a quest for immortality in the flesh. I wrote as I saw it in Clonenstein. Mary Shelley saw it in 1818 in her book Frankenstein. I believe cloning will come to pass one day. How did I get such an insight of the future? Back when I was twenty-two, my room was glowing one night about midnight. I woke up to see a cherub angel hovering over the bed. There was a glowing light coming from this angel. I reached up and touched the cherub to see if it was real. A shock hit me, and I passed out. Ever since then, I can hear and see things. I heard a voice telling me what to write in this book and how to tie it into the first book I wrote, Spirit Led DNA. I have had out-of-body experiences. An angel would come and take me to places and show me things to come. I wrote of this angel in the book. Read and see into the future. Clonenstein is a life story of true love, adventure, mystery, horror, and resurrections of the dead. See for yourself in Clonenstein.

Book I Am Happier to Know You

Download or read book I Am Happier to Know You written by Jeanne M. Eck and published by New Leaf Distribution. This book was released on 2005-09 with total page 337 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I Am Happier to Know You is the inspiring story of how, on wings of faith, single, midlife author and seasoned freelance journalist Jeanne M. Eck left her comfortable home in Washington, D.C. and moved to Egypt -Alone! I Am Happier to Know You is timely and timeless. It offers the opportunity for those in the West to understand a culture and religion many have come to fear. Those in the East are fascinated to see their culture reflected back through the eyes and heart of a Western woman who blossomed in the embrace of their warmth, humor, compassion, and sweetness. Many Egyptians have said that they are amazed that a foreigner understands them so well. With candor, grace and wit, Eck writes from her heart as well as her funny bone. She details her struggle to integrate into a society so different from the one she was raised in, what she learned from Egyptians about their culture and faith, what they taught her about herself, and how Egypt and her people changed her. Forever. I Am Happier to Know You is also about grasping the opportunity to live life at its fullest, to honor our intuition, and then to follow our dreams. Eck shares how embracing our similarities rather than condemning our differences enables us to release our judgments, prejudices and misconceptions. It is about love and the belief that in knowing we cannot hate; in understanding, we can only love. Ultimately, her most important message is that when we make peace within ourselves, we create peace within our world.

Book excerpt: 17 lively short stories provide an irreverent examination of exile, drawn from the ever-observant pen of one of Kashmir's most celebrated writers Hari Krishna Kaul, one of the most celebrated Kashmiri writers, published most of his work between 1972 and 2000. His short stories, shaped by the social crisis and political instability in Kashmir, explore – with a keen eye for detail, biting wit, and deep empathy – themes of isolation, individual and collective alienation, corruption, and the social mores of a community that experienced a loss of homeland, culture, and language. In these pages, we will find friends stuck forever in the same class at school while the world changes around them; travelers forced to seek shelter in a battered, windy hostel after a landslide; parents struggling to deal with displacement as they move away from Kashmir with their children, or loneliness as their children leave in search of better prospects; the cabin fever of living through a curfew . . . Brilliantly translated in a unique collaborative project, For Now, It Is Night brings a comprehensive selection of Kaul’s stories to English readers for the first time.
