RCCPDS was established by DoD Instruction, 7730.54 first published on February 18, 1972. RCCPDS is currently operated by the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) located in Monterey, California and consists of over two million records organized into a record layout of 95 data fields. Over two million records maintained in RCCPDS are updated monthly by the various Reserve components. The record layout in RCCPDS consists of 102 data fields, providing a comprehensive personnel database that is used for personnel reporting and analysis throughout the Department of Defense. Since July 1975, RCCPDS has been the official source for Reserve component end strength reporting and the official source of accession, loss, and reenlistment information since 1976. This report contains five sections. The first section is a recapitulation of the end strength numbers and profile of the Reserve components, represented in various "A" reports. The second section consists of the "G" reports, providing accession information. The summary and profiles of Selected Reserve losses make up the third section, designated by the "L" reports.
