For the first time in its history the Texas Bar Association meets in, what used to be put down in our old geographies - geographies that old gentlemen like Mr. Smith and myself and a few others remember - as the Great American Desert, the Staked Plains. Those days have passed. Into this magnificent country have come with the folks - because where the folks are there also the lawyer goes - a magnificent bunch of lawyers.
