Book The Universal Body Law Classic Reprint

Download or read book The Universal Body Law Classic Reprint written by Carl Rosley and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2018-02-02 with total page 22 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Universal Body Law What is, and how can we understand the so-called natural law? In spite of all our latest discoveries, we still explain the origin and development of all life in the universe, and that on our earth with the simple words only: it is natural law. Every human being is convinced that such a universal law must exist. But if we acknowledge the existence of such a natural law then we admit unconsciously the fact that there must undoubtedly exist, too, a ruling and supreme life, which is capable of enforcing this universal law. We know that in every ship, in every state or nation, there exists a government to rule the individual life therein, and we know, too, that all the laws that are made by that highest governing body in a state or in a great nation, can not be enforced direct by that central government, but only indirectly, from above downward, through the governments of the indi vidual states and communities, or their agents, because it is impossible to reach and control all individual life in a great body, through one single government only, and therefore all the many individual bodies therein must in turn have a govern ment by themselves. Book The Cause of Life and Motion Classic Reprint

Download or read book The Cause of Life and Motion Classic Reprint written by Vitruvius Frazee and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2015-07-27 with total page 54 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Cause of Life and Motion About thirteen years ago, I happened to be in the office of Mr. A. E. Smith, at Melbourne, Australia, and while there, I heard a clock which was in the office, strike the chimes just previous to striking the hour. It appeared to me that the notes of the chimes were peculiarly clear and perfect, and what then seemed to me as being singular, was at with each note a flash of color appeared before my eyes. At that time I had not heard of any analogy existing between sound and color, but I, nevertheless, became convinced that; there was an analogy and communicated my ideas to a number of my acquaintances. I believe that the fact of the existence of an analogy between sound and dolor was first actually demonstrated by some English philosopher, about a year after my experience of the chimes. However that may be, my discovery made a great impression on my mind and led me into many curious speculations, that always had a bearing as to the cause of life and motion. Book Laws

    Book Details:
  • Author : Plato
  • Publisher : DigiCat
  • Release : 2022-05-28
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 573 pages

Download or read book Laws written by Plato and published by DigiCat. This book was released on 2022-05-28 with total page 573 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Laws is Plato's last, longest, and perhaps, most famous work. It presents a conversation on political philosophy between three elderly men: an unnamed Athenian, a Spartan named Megillus, and a Cretan named Clinias. They worked to create a constitution for Magnesia, a new Cretan colony that would make all of its citizens happy and virtuous. In this work, Plato combines political philosophy with applied legislation, going into great detail concerning what laws and procedures should be in the state. For example, they consider whether drunkenness should be allowed in the city, how citizens should hunt, and how to punish suicide. The principles of this book have entered the legislation of many modern countries and provoke a great interest of philosophers even in the 21st century.

Book Of Matter And Spirit Selected Essays By Charles P Enz

Download or read book Of Matter And Spirit Selected Essays By Charles P Enz written by Charles P Enz and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2009-01-14 with total page 235 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The essays selected for this book comprise ideas presented in oral or written form between 1972 and 2000, some of them originally in German or French. They are preceded by a biographical and topical introduction. As the title suggests, attention is directed on the one hand toward the material world which is viewed in its extreme spatial extensions of the universe and of the elementary particles. In particular, the fascinating notion of the void and its fluctuating energy is the subject of various discussions, as is the subdivision of material bodies and its limits. The latter as well as the limit of gravitational stability are depicted in a diagram leading to the ultimate point of the Planck mass and length. The other topic of the title is the spiritual realm which, as in the Introduction, is based on reflections and quotations from religious texts. This rather personal aspect is also apparent in the frequent mention of the author's teacher Wolfgang Pauli, who on the psychological side is associated with C G Jung and Marie-Louise von Franz and on the physical side with Albert Einstein and the author's colleague Ernest Stueckelberg.
