The story of Ruth clearly demonstrates the power of obedience and its impact upon our lives in shaping the inner man. If the inner man is truly submissive to the call of the Lord through our spiritual parents, we can reach our spiritual destiny. We can get where God expects us to be. Ruths life and Naomi had a spiritual significance or importance in the spiritual realm, which is in line with what most of us are going through in our daily lives. Just to mention a few issues in relation to spiritual sonship call: obedience, submission, loyalty, humility, and so forth have a greater impact in our lives today. Sonship call prepares our hearts to desire that which God has set for our lives. Through listening and paying attention to the words of wisdom given by our spiritual parents in the Lord, we can gain access to our destiny. Sonship call helps us to stay connected to our spiritual parents so that we can receive our blessings from the Lord.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It has often been observed that Jesus’ filial obedience is an important Matthean theme. In this work the author argues that the articulation of Jesus as Son of God in Matthew is significantly influenced by the Deuteronomic concept of obedient sonship. After noting the complexities of Matthew’s use of Scripture – including the subtle ways he engages texts – Deuteronomy’s pervasive influence in ancient Judaism and Christianity is considered. It is argued that the requirement of Israel’s covenantal obedience as God’s son(s) is a major concern in Deuteronomy, as well as in other Jewish and Christian texts that appear to echo Deuteronomy. Indeed, it is argued that a pattern can be detected in which the sonship of Israel is invoked either to summon Israel to obedience, or to rebuke the nation for disobedience. The author concludes that the necessity of Israel’s obedient sonship is an important part of Matthew’s interpretive milieu that derives ultimately from Deuteronomy, and our understanding of Matthean Christology is greatly enhanced when viewed in this context. This study may further help us understand why Matthew’s concern with obedient sonship applies not only to Jesus uniquely, but also to the early Christian community.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the fulfillment of a dream I had back in the year 2009. I had a very vivid dream that I would one day write a book entitled: The Obedience Call. In these end days God is calling Christians all around the world to train themselves into obedience, because obedience is not just important, it is absolutely necessary. Christians must complete the state of their sanctification in order to be ready for the Rapture. This book is a collection of five sermons on obedience. In the first four chapters you will learn about how to be a solider for Christ, the importance of walking in humility, meekness and patience, how to position yourself for God’s favor, and how you can become a vessel of prudence for God to dwell in. In the final chapter you will learn about how it is necessary for you to fulfill your destiny, how we must live worthily by walking in obedience, how we must fight the good fight of faith, the true meaning of God’s grace, an explanation of Philippians 1:6, and how we must sow in the Spirit to reap eternal life.

Download or read book The Triune God written by Fred Sanders and published by Zondervan Academic. This book was released on 2016-12-06 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A constructive study of Trinitarian theology that aims to clarify our knowledge of the triune God by rightly ordering the theological language we use to praise him. The Triune God reaches its conclusions about how this doctrine should be handled on the basis of the way the Trinity was revealed. As such, theologian Fred Sanders: Invites a doxological invitation to the reader to contemplate the mystery of the Trinity. Establishes the biblical exposition and draws the doctrinal implications from it. Offers dogmatic principles for Trinitarian exegesis. Though Sanders does interact with major voices from the history of doctrine—and his arguments are indebted to and informed by the great tradition of Trinitarianism—he is clear throughout that Trinitarianism is a gift of revelation before it is an achievement of the church. The most patristic way to proceed toward a well-ordered doctrine of the Trinity is, after all, to study Scripture. -ABOUT THE SERIES- New Studies in Dogmatics seeks to retrieve the riches of Christian doctrine for the sake of contemporary theological renewal. Following in the tradition of G. C. Berkouwer's Studies in Dogmatics, this series provides thoughtful, concise, and readable treatments of major theological topics, expressing the biblical, creedal, and confessional shape of Christian doctrine for a contemporary evangelical audience. The editors and contributors share a common conviction that the way forward in constructive systematic theology lies in building upon the foundations laid in the church's historic understanding of the Word of God as professed in its creeds, councils, and confessions, and by its most trusted teachers.

Book The Call To Spiritual Sonship

Download or read book The Call To Spiritual Sonship written by Julius H Hummons and published by . This book was released on 2021-01-13 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A new era of post church reformation has dawned upon the Church of Jesus Christ. The return of the apostolic ministry has become prominent in the forefront of a new wineskin being ushered in the earth. This new wineskin is issuing forth new insights into an otherwise previously hidden view of God's word adjusting traditionally accepted notions of church structure, culture and its position as the house of God. As workmen within the five-fold ministry, apostles are carriers of the fundamental truths of grace resident in Christ as He builds the house of God through matured sons. Through the Holy Spirit's guidance, the true relational configuration of believers as sons of God is being made known through this current apostolic season. As the Son of God Jesus is the seed through whom God has revealed this mystical relationship of God himself as Father to those receiving Jesus Christ as Lord. God intentionally put in place the process of Sonship, making Jesus Christ the central figure of salvation. The theology of Christo-centric truth establishes the inheritance given to those maturing to be sons of God. The Call To Spiritual Sonship explores the growth of believers in their journey through the scriptures, unveiling the true relationship between Father God and His sons.
