El Grupo de Investigación en Derecho del Medio Ambiente aporta a la consolidación del estudio de la problemática jurídico ambiental con la presentación de este nuevo tomo de la colección Lecturas en Derecho del Medio Ambiente, la cual nació en el año 2000 con el fin de contribuir a la discusión de la variable ambiental desde la perspectiva jurídica, afianzándose desde entonces como un espacio en donde nuestros investigadores y otros invitados especiales dan a conocer los resultados de sus estudios. Con este son ya diecisiete los volúmenes que conforman esta colección que abarca los asuntos más actuales de la realidad jurídico ambiental nacional y extranjera. En la presente ocasión el tomo se inicia con un artículo del investigador Rafael Mejía, quien estudia el concepto de orden público ecológico, su posible incorporación en el derecho y su prospectiva como herramienta básica de la protección del medio ambiente. A continuación se presentan dos documentos de Álvaro Hernando Cardona, investigador del Departamento de Derecho del Medio Ambiente: en el primero identifica y examina algunas posibles antinomias entre las leyes 1333 de 2009 (Procedimiento Sancionatorio Ambiental) y 1437 de 2011 (Código de Procedimiento Administrativo y de lo Contencioso Administrativo), brindando a los operadores jurídicos herramientas interpretativas que permiten integrar estos dos cuerpos normativos; en el segundo, el autor analiza las características generales y la clasificación de los trámites ambientales determinados en el derecho ambiental colombiano.
