By estimations made at intervals on standard substances, uniform results were regularly obtained from all the members of the staff in the laboratory. The accuracy of the methods was tested in daily practice, and confirmed by analysts acting on behalf of buyers and sellers at home and on the Continent. The notes have been kept up to date, and have been found useful in the metallurgical laboratory maintained by the County Committee and the Local Committee at the Wednesbury Metallurgical Centre.
