Book Nonlinear Dynamic in Engineering by Akbari Ganji S Method

Download or read book Nonlinear Dynamic in Engineering by Akbari Ganji S Method written by Mohammadreza Akbari and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2015-11-10 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the present book, attempts have been made to conquer the difficulty of solving nonlinear differential equations, especially the highly nonlinear ones. A convenient approach (AGM = Akbari-Ganjis method) has been proposed to solve all the existing nonlinear ordinary differential equations up to now. Here, all the existing nonlinear ODEs have been divided into some categories, and for each of them, an innovative technique has been introduced to find their exact solution. Moreover, a suitable technique has been proposed to evaluate the precision of the acquired solution, which can be utilized when there is not any exact solution and the problem is not solvable by numerical methods, such as some kinds of inverse problems. One of the significant nobilities of this book refers to the ability of AGM in solving partial differential equations in different aspectsfor instance, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and vibration, as discussed in the sixth chapter. Eventually, we hope this book can be considered as a suitable guide for all the people who deal with nonlinear differential equations.

Book Dynamics and Vibrations

Download or read book Dynamics and Vibrations written by Seyed Habibollah Hashemi Kachapi and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-07-18 with total page 352 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dynamical and vibratory systems are basically an application of mathematics and applied sciences to the solution of real world problems. Before being able to solve real world problems, it is necessary to carefully study dynamical and vibratory systems and solve all available problems in case of linear and nonlinear equations using analytical and numerical methods. It is of great importance to study nonlinearity in dynamics and vibration; because almost all applied processes act nonlinearly, and on the other hand, nonlinear analysis of complex systems is one of the most important and complicated tasks, especially in engineering and applied sciences problems. There are probably a handful of books on nonlinear dynamics and vibrations analysis. Some of these books are written at a fundamental level that may not meet ambitious engineering program requirements. Others are specialized in certain fields of oscillatory systems, including modeling and simulations. In this book, we attempt to strike a balance between theory and practice, fundamentals and advanced subjects, and generality and specialization. None of the books in this area have completely studied and analyzed nonlinear equation in dynamical and vibratory systems using the latest analytical and numerical methods, so that the user can solve the problems without the need of studying too many different references. Thereby in this book, by the use of the latest analytic, numeric laboratorial methods and using more than 300 references like books, papers and the researches done by the authors and by considering almost all possible processes and situation, new theories has been proposed to encounter applied problems in engineering and applied sciences. In this way, the user (bachelor’s, master’s and PhD students, university teachers and even in research centers in different fields of mechanical, civil, aerospace, electrical, chemical, applied mathematics, physics, and etc.) can encounter such systems confidently. In the different chapters of the book, not only are the linear and especially nonlinear problems with oscillatory form broadly discussed, but also applied examples are practically solved by the proposed methodology.

Book Advances in Nonlinear Dynamics Methods and Applications

Download or read book Advances in Nonlinear Dynamics Methods and Applications written by Anil K. Bajaj and published by Springer. This book was released on 2011-09-27 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the second and final issue of the collection of papers that were contributed by friends and colleagues of (Late) Professor P. R. "Pat" Sethna of the University of Minnesota to commemorate his 70th birthday on May 26, 1993. The first set of contributions was published in Nonlinear Dynamics as the last issue (no. 6) of Vol. 4 in 1993. As circumstances would have it, Professor Sethna was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 1992 and, after an extended battle with the disease, he passed away on November 4, 1993, just a few days before the first set of contributed papers appeared in print. It is gratifying to report that the organizers of these vi Foreword commemorative issues in Nonlinear Dynamics were able to present to Professor Sethna, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, complete details of the planned commemorative issues. This second set of contributions is dedicated, in memoriam, to Professor P. R. Sethna. As many of you are well aware, Professor Sethna was an active researcher in the field of nonlinear vibrations and dynamics for nearly forty years, making many fundamental and significant contributions to both the theoretical and applied aspects of this field. He was also recognized for his outstanding leadership and administrative abilities, amply demonstrated through his position as the Head of the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota for twenty-six years (1966-1992).

Book Approximation Methods in Science and Engineering

Download or read book Approximation Methods in Science and Engineering written by Reza N. Jazar and published by . This book was released on 2020 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Approximation Methods in Engineering and Science covers fundamental and advanced topics in three areas: Dimensional Analysis, Continued Fractions, and Stability Analysis of the Mathieu Differential Equation. Throughout the book, a strong emphasis is given to concepts and methods used in everyday calculations. Dimensional analysis is a crucial need for every engineer and scientist to be able to do experiments on scaled models and use the results in real world applications. Knowing that most nonlinear equations have no analytic solution, the power series solution is assumed to be the first approach to derive an approximate solution. However, this book will show the advantages of continued fractions and provides a systematic method to develop better approximate solutions in continued fractions. It also shows the importance of determining stability chart of the Mathieu equation and reviews and compares several approximate methods for that. The book provides the energy-rate method to study the stability of parametric differential equations that generates much better approximate solutions. Covers practical model-prototype analysis and nondimensionalization of differential equations; Coverage includes approximate methods of responses of nonlinear differential equations; Discusses how to apply approximation methods to analysis, design, optimization, and control problems; Discusses how to implement approximation methods to new aspects of engineering and physics including nonlinear vibration and vehicle dynamics

Book IUTAM Symposium on Exploiting Nonlinear Dynamics for Engineering Systems

Download or read book IUTAM Symposium on Exploiting Nonlinear Dynamics for Engineering Systems written by Ivana Kovacic and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-07-25 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the proceedings of the IUTAM Symposium on Exploiting Nonlinear Dynamics for Engineering Systems that was held in Novi Sad, Serbia, from July 15th to 19th, 2018. The appearance of nonlinear phenomena used to be perceived as dangerous, with a general tendency to avoid them or control them. This perception has led to intensive research using various approaches and tailor-made tools developed over decades. However, the Nonlinear Dynamics of today is experiencing a profound shift of paradigm since recent investigations rely on a different strategy which brings good effects of nonlinear phenomena to the forefront. This strategy has a positive impact on different fields in science and engineering, such as vibration isolation, energy harvesting, micro/nano-electro-mechanical systems, etc. Therefore, the ENOLIDES Symposium was devoted to demonstrate the benefits and to unlock the potential of exploiting nonlinear dynamical behaviour in these but also in other emerging fields of science and engineering. This proceedings is useful for researchers in the fields of nonlinear dynamics of mechanical systems and structures, and in Mechanical and Civil Engineering.
