Book Nonlinear Control Technology of Vehicle Chassis by Wire System

Download or read book Nonlinear Control Technology of Vehicle Chassis by Wire System written by Wanzhong Zhao and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-01-03 with total page 248 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book belongs to the field of intelligent vehicle control, which is dedicated to the research of nonlinear control problems of intelligent vehicle chassis-by-wire systems. Through the nonlinear stability control of the steer-by-wire system and the consistency optimization control of the brake-by-wire system, the performance of the vehicle subsystem is improved. Then, the decoupling control of the nonlinear inverse system is used to realize the decoupling of the chassis-by-wire system. Finally, this book further adopts nonlinear rollover prevention integrated control to improve the rollover prevention performance of the vehicle.

Book Design and Advanced Robust Chassis Dynamics Control for X by Wire Unmanned Ground Vehicle

Download or read book Design and Advanced Robust Chassis Dynamics Control for X by Wire Unmanned Ground Vehicle written by Jun NI and published by Morgan & Claypool Publishers. This book was released on 2018-01-04 with total page 144 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: X-by-wire Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) have been attracting increased attention for various civilian or military applications. The x-by-wire techniques (drive-by-wire, steer-by-wire, and brake-by-wire techniques) provide the possibility of achieving novel vehicle design and advanced dynamics control, which can significantly improve the overall performance, maneuverability, and mobility of the UGVs. However, there are few full x-by-wire UGVs prototype models reported in the world. Therefore, there is no book that can fully describe the design, configuration, and dynamics control approach of full x-by-wire UGVs, which makes it difficult for readers to study this hot and interesting topic. In this book, we use a full x-by-wire UGV, developed by our group, as the example. This UGV is completely x-by-wire with four in-wheel motors driven and a four-wheel independent steer steer. In this book, the overall design of the UGV, the design of the key subsystems (battery pack system, in-wheel motor-driven system, independent steer system, remote and autonomous control system), and the dynamics control approach will be introduced in detail, and the experiment's results will be provided to validate the proposed dynamics control approach.

Book Advanced Chassis Control Technology for Steer by Wire Vehicles

Download or read book Advanced Chassis Control Technology for Steer by Wire Vehicles written by Xiaodong Wu and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2024-06-04 with total page 191 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Advanced Chassis Control Technology for Steer-by-Wire Vehicles details state-of-the-art drive-by-wire technology, enabling engineers to create safer and smarter steering technology. With applications in Formula 1 driving, this book is an accessible yet ambitious introduction to the technology that is fast becoming the future of road vehicles. Steer-by-wire systems replace conventional mechanical technology with electronic sensors, controllers, and actuators, enhancing functionality when steering. Features such as variable steer ratio, customized road feel, and advanced vehicle dynamics control all ensure that this maximizes safety when driving. The book looks first at the theory behind this technology and compares it to conventional mechanical steering. It discusses control through forward and backward dynamics and a shared steering control concept to improve vehicle handling and performance, relevant to intelligent vehicles. It also explains how to create chassis domain fusion control, four independent wheels steering system and teleoperated control. Using case studies and ISOs, the book is a practical guide to safely designing steer-by-wire systems. The book is an essential guide to all engineers working in the modern automotive industry.

Book Vehicle Steer by Wire System and Chassis Integration

Download or read book Vehicle Steer by Wire System and Chassis Integration written by Wanzhong Zhao and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-09-24 with total page 455 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book focuses on the control-by-wire system, particularly the steer-by-wire system, as well as its control and optimization issues in chassis integration. The steering stability of the vehicle, handling portability, and overall performance of the chassis system are improved by steer-by-wire technology, which includes stability control, road-feeling control, decoupling control, force and displacement coordinated control, and chassis integration optimization. Furthermore, intelligent control goals such as active collision avoidance and active rollover prevention of the vehicle are realized, and the active safety of the vehicle is increased, due to the integrated control of the steer-by-wire system and chassis system. In this book, different types of steer-by-wire systems are introduced, as well as thorough force and displacement control strategies and their implementation in chassis integrated control, ensuring the intelligent and unmanned driving's control reaction speed and precision.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In spite of all the assistance offered by electronic control systems, the latest generation of passenger car chassis still relies on conventional chassis elements. With a view towards driving dynamics, this book examines these conventional elements and their interaction with mechatronic systems. First, it describes the fundamentals and design of the chassis and goes on to examine driving dynamics with a particularly practical focus. This is followed by a detailed description and explanation of the modern components. A separate section is devoted to the axles and processes for axle development. With its revised illustrations and several updates in the text and list of references, this new edition already includes a number of improvements over the first edition.

Download or read book Integrated Vehicle Dynamics and Control written by Wuwei Chen and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2016-03-31 with total page 374 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A comprehensive overview of integrated vehicle system dynamics exploring the fundamentals and new and emerging developments This book provides a comprehensive coverage of vehicle system dynamics and control, particularly in the area of integrated vehicle dynamics control. The book consists of two parts, (1) development of individual vehicle system dynamic model and control methodology; and (2) development of integrated vehicle dynamic model and control methodology. The first part focuses on investigating vehicle system dynamics and control according to the three directions of vehicle motions, including longitudinal, vertical, and lateral. Corresponding individual control systems, e.g. Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Active Suspension, Electric Power Steering System (EPS), are introduced and developed respectively. Particular attention is paid in the second part of the book to develop integrated vehicle dynamic control system. Integrated vehicle dynamics control system is an advanced system that coordinates all the chassis control systems and components to improve the overall vehicle performance including safety, comfort, and economy. Integrated vehicle dynamics control has been an important research topic in the area of vehicle dynamics and control over the past two decades. The research topic on integrated vehicle dynamics control is investigated comprehensively and intensively in the book through both theoretical analysis and experimental study. In this part, two types of control architectures, i.e. centralized and multi-layer, have been developed and compared to demonstrate their advantages and disadvantages. Integrated vehicle dynamics control is a hot topic in automotive research; this is one of the few books to address both theory and practice of integrated systems Comprehensively explores the research area of integrated vehicle dynamics and control through both theoretical analysis and experimental study Addresses a full range of vehicle system topics including tyre dynamics, chassis systems, control architecture, 4 wheel steering system and design of control systems using Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) Method
