Book Mohammed and the Unbelievers

Download or read book Mohammed and the Unbelievers written by LLC Cspi and published by Cspi Llc. This book was released on 2006 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Knowing the life of Mohammed (the Sira) is the key to understanding Islam and the Koran. In one of the great stories of history, Mohammed went from being an orphan to the first ruler of all Arabia. Battles, raids, torture, deception, slavery, assassinations, heroes, secret agents, and religion all figure in his glorious triumph. Mohammed was the world's supreme master of war. Poetry, passion, culture, immigration, history, sex, ethics, economics, Paradise and Hell were all used to define a new form of war-jihad. This is an epic story and sacred text and a part of the Islamic Trilogy Series. Islam is a political system, a culture and a religion based upon the Koran, Sira (life of Mohammed) and Hadith (the Traditions of Mohammed). The Islamic Trilogy series integrates the three primary sources to give the entire Islamic political doctrine-the treatment of non-Muslims. The Trilogy is authoritative and fact-based. All statements can be confirmed by the use of reference numbers. The knowledge is integrated-all of the primary sources are used to give the complete picture of Islam's political doctrine.

Book Muhammad Is Not the Father of Any of Your Men

Download or read book Muhammad Is Not the Father of Any of Your Men written by David S. Powers and published by University of Pennsylvania Press. This book was released on 2011-06-03 with total page 384 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Islamic claim to supersede Judaism and Christianity is embodied in the theological assertion that the office of prophecy is hereditary but that the line of descent ends with Muhammad, who is the seal, or last, of the prophets. While Muhammad had no natural sons who reached the age of maturity, he is said to have adopted a man named Zayd, and mutual rights of inheritance were created between the two. Zayd b. Muhammad, also known as the Beloved of the Messenger of God, was the first adult male to become a Muslim and the only Muslim apart from Muhammad to be named in the Qur'an. But if prophecy is hereditary and Muhammad has a son, David Powers argues, then he might not be the Last Prophet. Conversely, if he is the Last Prophet, he cannot have a son. In Muhammad Is Not the Father of Any of Your Men, Powers contends that a series of radical moves were made in the first two centuries of Islamic history to ensure Muhammad's position as the Last Prophet. He focuses on narrative accounts of Muhammad's repudiation of Zayd, of his marriage to Zayd's former wife, and of Zayd's martyrdom in battle against the Byzantines. Powers argues that theological imperatives drove changes in the historical record and led to the abolition or reform of key legal institutions. In what is likely to be the most controversial aspect of his book, he offers compelling physical evidence that the text of the Qur'an itself was altered.

Book The Mysteries of Allah and His Muhammad

Download or read book The Mysteries of Allah and His Muhammad written by Fatai Badmos and published by Strategic Book Publishing & Rights Agency. This book was released on 2016-12-02 with total page 658 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Mysteries of Allah and His Muhammad is indeed a scanty summary of a potentially great debate. However unwieldy or incomprehensible the actual details may be, certain contexts of the whole or part can always be identified for discussion. In the physique of mankind, Allah manifests. He does so on nature glaringly, just as is inferred from various sections of the book. Whilst He does, the divinity of a being “not more than a prophet” is also undoubtedly established. That co-joining of the One and Only Creator and a creation (a man, Muhammad), who coincidentally is most positively and negatively controversial, should interest those who consider man to be the meanest of God’s creations. That we may not discount knowledge of any sort, even that considered most sacrilegious (science), God’s inspiration to a mortal being (Muhammad) corroborates too many ideas put forth by scientists or intellectuals’ discoveries and postulations. What a mystery that the lightbulb, which in theory and description was already encoded in the Quran more than a thousand years ago, before one bulb ever rolled out in a factory! Only simple minds take things for granted and give no thought to the grandiose schemes of our world and its elements. This book serves as a jolt to those who oversimplify “what is” or the mysterious.

Book Muhammad Forty Introductions

Download or read book Muhammad Forty Introductions written by Michael Muhammad Knight and published by Catapult. This book was released on 2019-01-08 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "More than a survey of the prophet’s life and times, this book is an introduction to the stunning diversity of Islam and the ways in which Muslims think, dream, and make Muhammad into their very own prophet." —Publishers Weekly (starred review) He ranks among the most venerated historical figures in the world, as well as among the most contested. Muhammad: Forty Introductions offers a distinct and nuanced take on the life and teachings of the prophet Muhammad, using a traditional genre of Islamic literature called the forty hadiths collection. Hadiths are the reported sayings and actions of Muhammad that have been collected by the tens of thousands throughout Islamic history. There is a tradition in which Muslim scholars take from this vast textual ocean to compile their own smaller collections of forty hadiths, an act of curation that allows them to present their particular understanding of Muhammad’s legacy and the essential points of Islam. Here, Michael Muhammad Knight offers forty narrations that provide windows into the diverse ways in which Muslims envision Muhammad. He also examines his own relationship to Muslim traditions while exploring such topics as law, mysticism, sectarianism, gender, and sexuality. By revealing the Prophet to be an ongoing construction, he carefully unravels notions about Islam’s center and margins.
