Book No Dream Is Too High

Download or read book No Dream Is Too High written by Buzz Aldrin and published by National Geographic Books. This book was released on 2018-04-03 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Beloved American hero and astronaut Buzz Aldrin reflects on the wisdom, guiding principles, and irreverent anecdotes he's gathered--both in outer space and on earth--through his event-filled life, in this inspiring guide-to-life for the next generation. Everywhere he goes, crowds gather to meet Buzz Aldrin. He is a world-class hero, a larger-than-life figurehead, best known of a generation of astronauts whose achievements surged in just a few years from first man in space to first men on the moon. Now he pauses to reflect and share what he has learned, from the vantage point not only of outer space but also of time: still a non-stop traveler and impassioned advocate for space exploration, Aldrin will be 86 in 2016. No Dream Is Too High whittles down Buzz Aldrin's event-filled life into a short list of principles he values, each illustrated by fascinating anecdotes and memories, such as: · Second comes right after first. NASA protocol should have meant he was first on the moon, but rules changed just before the mission. How he learned to be proud of being the second man on the moon. · Look for opportunities, not obstacles. Buzz was rejected the first time he applied to be an astronaut. Failure is an opportunity to learn to do better. · Always maintain your spirit of adventure. For his 80th birthday, Buzz went diving in the Galapagos and hitched a ride on a whale shark. He stays fit, energetic, and fascinated with life. No Dream Is Too High is a beautiful memento, a thought-provoking set of ideas, and a new opportunity for Buzz Aldrin to connect with the masses of people who recognize his unique place in human history.

Book excerpt: MEANT FOR THIS is for anyone with a dream inside their heart they can't ignore. The kind of dream that feels too big, or too impossible to ever become a reality. Whether you've put it on the back burner for years, or you've been working towards it your whole life, this book will breathe new life into it and create a whole new world of possibility. As artists and dreamers, we're flooded with discouraging rhetoric: "That dream is going to be really hard." "Good luck winning the lottery!" "Do you really want to be a starving artist?" Not only does this tempt people to pursue something more "realistic," but it also robs us of hope and sticks us with a dead end. Meant For This is just the opposite. Finally, a book that understands the artist's journey and guides you with a refreshingly motivating perspective. Through 20 chapters of personal stories, exercises, and actionable content, Hollywood's Success Coach Erica Wernick shows you the strategies and mindset that has helped countless artists turn their biggest dreams into reality. Erica has built a career providing support and strategy in a way that was desperately needed in the Hollywood industry. Between Erica and her clients, they've booked work on over 60 television shows and films on Netflix, Hulu, HBO and every other major network under the sun, working with A-listers, starting their own companies, and landing opportunities they never had before. This book will: Give you permission to dream as big as you possibly can Show you how to access your Star Power to unlock bigger opportunities Help you map out a brand new strategy for your biggest dream Make you feel seen and heard as an artist like you've never felt before Inspire you to stop settling and finally lead the extraordinary life you desire Erica first walks readers through the mindset of a High Achiever. It's about accessing your Star Power and taking on a set of beliefs that unleash your potential like never before. You want to achieve the exceptional? You want to achieve what most people never will? It starts within. You have to be exceptional to achieve the exceptional. Then Erica shows you how to tangibly make your dreams happen. Once you become the person you're meant to be, you can take the actions that will propel you forward. Erica digs in deep to practical strategies about making connections, asking for what you want, and creating the most effective plan for even the biggest dreams. The last section of the book covers the edge. It's the power behind the truly exceptional results. From breaking the rules, to expecting miracles from the Universe, this section is the cherry on top of the cake. It's what successful people do differently, beyond the principles we've heard before. People who succeed at high levels do things differently. Meant For This will show you exactly what they're doing and how you can achieve everything you feel meant for. This book gives stars permission to call themselves Stars. It gives dreamers the courage to do the big things in their heart. When you don't achieve something you feel you're meant for, the agony is one of the most excruciating experiences. This book ends that pain, replaces it with joy and epic fulfillment, and subsequently expands the light in a ripple effect of dreams realized. No dream is too big or too impossible. If it keeps whispering to you, it's time to answer the call and live the life you've always dreamed of.

Book Dream Big Living the Twenty Twenty Vision

Download or read book Dream Big Living the Twenty Twenty Vision written by David Frazier, III and published by . This book was released on 2020-04-28 with total page 100 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: No dream is too small to achieve, no mountain is too high to climb out of, and no valley is too low to be temporarily placed in. Defeat may be present when you are trying to pursue purpose; but when you are a dreamer, setbacks are a motivation for your comeback. In life, we must make a conscious decision to dream aloud. We must live life as if there are no restraints or limits set before us. When we dream, we are positioning our faith, hope, aspirations, desires and wishes further than our human mind can conceive. Dreaming is activating your faith outwardly while trusting in the outcome inwardly. Dreaming is sacrificing your external wants and concentrating on the vision that burns on the inside of you. When you DREAM BIG, you declare victory over all obstacles and setbacks. The Philosophy of Dreaming Big can be achieved by anyone who decides that they will not settle for NO, but approach life aggressively seeking a YES! Not a YES from man directly, but a YES to opportunities. When you are creating a YES, it will propel you into the definition of success that you have set for yourself. This book, Dream Big: Living the Twenty-Twenty Vision, is a testament of my personal life, my journey, the bumps I encountered in the road toward success, and where I am now. I hope this book will help others to identify their dreams and purposefully fulfill the vision that God has placed on their path.

Book Ramona

  • Pages : 130 pages

Download or read book Ramona written by Chantel Snowden and published by . This book was released on 2015-10-02 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ramona is very different from most people. She lives by the theory that there are no excuses in life, nor are dreams and goals unattainable. All possibilities are endless if you believe. The life she was born into was nothing like the splendor of the royal family. She lives within her dreams, a world created solely in her mind. The dream world involves detailed illusions of what she desires to conquer next in life. These dreams stem from the actual goals she set for herself at a young age. Making her dreams come true is the easiest part. They are set in the exact order of her life. However, when she does not follow her dreams, terrible things come her way, including death. Her dreams do not give her unobtainable powers. They do speak to her, motivating her. Her dreams can turn into nightmares quickly. The nightmares stem from Ramona not fulfilling her dreams. The dreams are there to show her that there are no goals too high for her. She chose this life. The dreams just show the way. As long as she trusts and believes in herself and God, she will make all of her dreams come true. Unfortunately, it is easier said than done. The people she surrounds herself with distract her from her goals. She tries to be an ordinary girl with her friends, and a rebel of the night. Nevertheless, ordinary is everything she is not. Drugs and alcohol-filled nights cause her dreams to turn into nightmares at an early age, which sends her on a spiral downfall that only she can overcome. Her nightmares will soon fade, but there is one dream that she will struggle to conquer, one dream that she forgets to make reality that will cost her her life. She built an empire, but all that will remain is the name she built, the family she created, and the memories she made. Although those who do not know Ramona would say she is perfect, she knows better than to believe that. Perfect people do not spill their tea. Perfect people do not break out from stress. Perfect people do not go hungry because they are too busy feeding the world. Ramona is not perfect; she is merely just an example of hard work and dedication.
