Book Nine and a Half Weeks

Download or read book Nine and a Half Weeks written by Elizabeth McNeill and published by Harper Collins. This book was released on 2014-07-01 with total page 103 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The classic erotic memoir of an intense and haunting relationship that spawned the film. This is a love story so unusual, so passionate, and so extreme in its psychology and sexuality that it takes the reader’s breath away. Unlike The Story of O, Nine and a Half Weeks is not a novel or fantasy; it is a true account of an episode in the life of a real woman. Elizabeth McNeill was an executive for a large corporation when she began an affair with a man she met casually. From the beginning, their sexual excitement escalates through domination and humiliation. As the affair progresses, woman and man play out ever more dangerous and more elaborate sado-masochistic variations. By the end, she has relinquished all control over her body and mind. With a cool detachment that makes the experiences and sensations she describes all the more frightening in their intensity, Elizabeth McNeill beautifully unfolds her story and invites you to experience the mesmerizing, electrifying, and unforgettablly private world of Nine and a Half Weeks.

Book Sixty Nine Weeks of Daniel Chapter 9

Download or read book Sixty Nine Weeks of Daniel Chapter 9 written by Robert R. Armstrong and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2012-04-05 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Sixty-Nine Weeks of Daniel, Chapter 9 examines the positions of Sir Robert Anderson and Harold Hoehner, as well as dates suggested by Frederick Larson in his DVD titled The Star of Bethlehem, regarding the date of the command to rebuild Jerusalem and the date of Christs birth and crucifixion. In this edition, the very significant contributions of Drs. Colin Humphreys and W.G. Waddington regarding the pre-exilic calendar and the date of Christs crucifixion are referenced. The sixty-nine week prophecy is one of the most amazing prophecies in Scripture, and the dates presented by Christian authors differ considerably. There are, however, dates that can be substantiated biblically, historically, and astronomically. These are presented, with the case for and against each. The author received Christ as Savior and Lord while in medical school after hearing, during a Bible study, that Jesus was and is God, as presented in the first chapter of the book of John. Soon thereafter he read the seventy-week prophecy and has had an enduring interest in it since that time. After seeing Larsons DVD, which confirmed Hoehners date for Christs crucifixion and thus Christs triumphal entry, he started a more intensive examination of the proposed dates, resulting in the writing of The Sixty-Nine Weeks of Daniel, Chapter 9. It is hoped that the reader will gain an increased respect for and confidence in the accuracy and inspiration of Scripture, and that the Lord will receive the glory as a result. It is also hoped that seekers of truth will be encouraged to pursue their search in the pages of Scripture.

Book Fit to Ride in 9 Weeks

Download or read book Fit to Ride in 9 Weeks written by Heather Sansom and published by Trafalgar Square Books. This book was released on 2016-09-01 with total page 489 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Regardless of discipline, level of expertise, training philosophy, body shape, or fitness level, all riders do better—in horse-related activities on the ground and in the saddle—when they take care of their bodies and maintain their fitness. While riding is a great way to enjoy an active lifestyle, on its own it is not enough to condition and tone the body to the degree we need, and then the horse must make up the fitness gap in our physical partnership. If our reflexes are slow, if our bodies fatigue, if our position collapses, if tension patterns appear, then the horse suffers repetitive asymmetrical strain or develops compensatory movement habits. It is for his good, as well as ours, that certified personal trainer and riding coach Heather Sansom has developed an utterly achievable 9-week plan to give every rider the straightness, suppleness, strength, and stamina she needs to rider her best. With hundreds of one-of-a-kind illustrations depicting accurate musculature on the rider’s body, and dozens of proven exercises organized in a progressive fitness program with easy-to-use schedule charts, Sansom’s book is the key to enjoying the ride, being fair to your horse, and getting into fabulous shape—in nine weeks!

Download or read book Declaration written by William Hogeland and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2010-06-01 with total page 298 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the rambunctious story of how America came to declare independence in Philadelphia in 1776. As late as that May, the Continental Congress had no plans to break away from England. Troops under General George Washington had been fighting the British for nearly a year—yet in Philadelphia a mighty bloc known as "reconciliationists," led by the influential Pennsylvanian John Dickinson, strove to keep America part of the British Empire. But a cadre of activists—led by the mysterious Samuel Adams of Massachusetts and assisted by his nervous cousin John—plotted to bring about American independence. Their audacious secret plan proposed overturning the reconciliationist government of Pennsylvania and replacing it with pro-independence leaders. Remarkably, the adventure succeeded. The Adams coalition set in motion a startling chain of events in the Philadelphia streets, in the Continental Congress, and throughout the country that culminated in the Declaration of Independence on July 4. In Declaration William Hogeland brings to vibrant life both the day-to-day excitement and the profound importance of those nine fast-paced weeks essential to the American founding yet little known today. He depicts the strange-bedfellow alliance the Adamses formed with scruffy Philadelphia outsiders and elegant Virginia planters to demand liberty. He paints intimate portraits of key figures: John Dickinson, a patriot who found himself outmaneuvered on the losing side of history; Benjamin Franklin, the most famous man in America, engaged in and perplexed by his city’s upheavals; Samuel Adams, implacable in changing the direction of Congress; his cousin John, anxious about the democratic aspirations of their rabble-rousing Philadelphia allies; and those democratic radical organizers themselves, essential to bringing about independence, all but forgotten until now. As the patriots’ adventure gathers toward the world-changing climax of the Declaration, conflicts and ironies arise, with trenchant relevance for the most important issues confronting Americans today. Declaration offers a fresh, gripping, and vivid portrait of the passionate men and thrilling events that gave our country birth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the lengthy research and pen of two lawyers, a judge and a former law professor, this book, In His Footsteps: The Early Followers of Jesus, is a guide to understanding the early Christian movement through a study of the lives and ministries of the first believers, most of whom had met with the risen Jesus and thus knew, without doubt, that Jesus was the Christ and Savior of the world. The book cites accounts from Eusebius, a third-century Greek Christian historian, who also referenced testimony from first-century Christians about the almost unbelievable courage of the early followers of Jesus, who willingly and fearlessly, despite tremendous persecution and sufferings, brought to an otherwise lost world an assurance of life eternal for all believers. The book also refers to the fulfillment of many of the biblical prophecies, the principal ones being the restoration of the nation of Israel and the return of many Jewish people to their homeland. This book is an indispensable resource for all persons, as the tremendous sacrifices of the first believers should never be forgotten.
