Book excerpt: "Read this disturbing but vital book." — Tucker Carlson From the New York Times bestselling BLITZ: Trump Will Smash the Left and Win author and leading conservative thinker comes DARK AGENDA, an extraordinary look into the left’s calculated efforts to create a godless, heathen American society — and how these efforts must be stopped. And it is written by David Horowitz, a Jew. In Dark Agenda: The War to Destroy Christian America, Horowitz warns that the rising attacks on Christians and their beliefs threaten all Americans — including Jews like himself. The liberal establishment and their radical allies envision a new millennium in which Christianity is banished, Horowitz argues. He says that Judeo-Christian values are at the very root of America’s democracy. Kill off such values and all of our freedoms could perish. Horowitz examines how our elites — increasingly secular and atheist — are pushing a radical agenda: How the left trashes Christian doctrines critical to the American Republic, much like radical Islam’s war on “infidel” cultures like ours. Why the left fights to keep prayer and religion out of public schools, and how those efforts fly in the face of Founding Father Thomas Jefferson’s intentions. How fanatical liberals helped create the religious right by targeting evangelicals and believing Catholics and other conservatives. How Barack Obama’s ultra-liberal agenda galvanized the anti-God, anti-religious left. The violent and shocking manifesto of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger who advocated the use of dynamite to promote “revolutionary solidarity.” Filled with stories that demonstrate the mind-numbing reasons behind the secular Left’s smug disdain for Christianity, Horowitz traces the history of religious liberty from the Founding Fathers to now. He shows how the Founding Fathers put aside their own skepticisms about God and religion to write The Declaration of Independence. Today, he writes Donald Trump’s “genuine love for his country” has galvanized Christians to fight the secular war waged against them — as the president has become a lightning rod for the radical left. David Horowitz’s powerful new book brings vital insights into the war against Christianity and names the global radicals, leftist Democrats, and money-hungry fat cats of Hollywood and Wall Street responsible for it. Finally, a clear and sensible American voice — one that is not Christian but Jewish — stands up to the twisted rantings of those who want to tear down faith and bedrock of American values. David Horowitz delivers an impassioned plea for the restoration of political sanity in America, a perspective that made America great by respecting the faiths of our fathers and mothers. “One of the most intellectually compelling and rational defenses of Christianity’s role in America." — Gov Mike Huckabee The Best Book on Politics for Christians in 2019 — The Stream

Book excerpt: Climate change has been a perplexing problem for years. In Dark Winter, author John L. Casey, a former White House national space policy advisor, NASA headquarters consultant, and space shuttle engineer tells the truth about ominous changes taking place in the climate and the Sun. Casey’s research into the Sun’s activity, which began almost a decade ago, resulted in discovery of a solar cycle that is now reversing from its global warming phase to that of dangerous global cooling for the next thirty years or more. This new cold climate will dramatically impact the world’s citizens. In Dark Winter, he provides evidence of the following: • The end of global warming • The beginning of a “solar hibernation,” a historic reduction in the energy output of the Sun • A long-term drop in Earth’s temperatures • The start of the next climate change to decades of dangerously cold weather • The high probability of record earthquakes and volcanic eruptions A sobering look at Earth’s future, Dark Winter predicts worldwide, crop- destroying cold; food shortages and riots in the United States and abroad; significant global loss of life; and social, political, and economic upheaval.

Book Hillary s Scheme

Download or read book Hillary s Scheme written by Carl Limbacher and published by Forum Books. This book was released on 2004-06-22 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Can this country survive another Clinton presidency? Two terms of “Slick Willy” were bad enough. Now, numerous political experts and people close to the Clinton family hint that Hillary is plotting to retake the White House and ring in another four—or eight—years of a Clinton as commander in chief. She denies any presidential bid is in the works. But a few years before she entered the Senate race, Hillary claimed she would never run for any elective office whatsoever. In shocking detail, Hillary’s Scheme confirms the worst fear of tens of millions of Americans: that Hillary Clinton indeed plans to run for president within the next few years. This explosive, behind-the-scenes book by investigative journalist Carl Limbacher blows the lid off the New York senator’s plans for a grand political coup, something she has been carefully and quietly plotting for more than 20 years. Limbacher conducted extensive research into Hillary’s past and secured exclusive interviews with Clinton insiders—and even questioned Hillary herself—to bring you the real story. What he uncovers are the truly juicy morsels, the backroom deals, and the insider wrangling around Hillary’s presidential ambitions that aren’t being reported in the mainstream press. If you love to hate Hillary or are just curious about one of America’s most controversial figures, there’s plenty in this book to get your blood boiling. You’ll discover the answers to questions Hillary is unwilling to address in public, including: Why is she not likely to wait until 2008 to enter the race for president? How did she torpedo Al Gore’s chances for a rematch with President Bush? Where are the millions of dollars she’s supposedly raising for the Democratic Party really going? Why does she dodge tough questions about her husband’s abysmal record on fighting international terrorism? And many, many more! If you don’t think that Hillary Clinton has a fighting chance to win the presidency, you must read this book. With startling prescience, Limbacher draws parallels between today’s political environment and that which existed in 1992—the year George H. W. Bush lost the race to an upstart governor from Arkansas. You don’t need to be a member of the “vast right-wing conspiracy” or even a Republican to be concerned about what Hillary in the White House would mean for the presidency, the Constitution, and America as we know it.

Book excerpt: NATIONAL BESTSELLER ONE OF THE NEW YORK TIMES 10 BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR Who are the immensely wealthy right-wing ideologues shaping the fate of America today? From the bestselling author of The Dark Side, an electrifying work of investigative journalism that uncovers the agenda of this powerful group. In her new preface, Jane Mayer discusses the results of the most recent election and Donald Trump's victory, and how, despite much discussion to the contrary, this was a huge victory for the billionaires who have been pouring money in the American political system. Why is America living in an age of profound and widening economic inequality? Why have even modest attempts to address climate change been defeated again and again? Why do hedge-fund billionaires pay a far lower tax rate than middle-class workers? In a riveting and indelible feat of reporting, Jane Mayer illuminates the history of an elite cadre of plutocrats—headed by the Kochs, the Scaifes, the Olins, and the Bradleys—who have bankrolled a systematic plan to fundamentally alter the American political system. Mayer traces a byzantine trail of billions of dollars spent by the network, revealing a staggering conglomeration of think tanks, academic institutions, media groups, courthouses, and government allies that have fallen under their sphere of influence. Drawing from hundreds of exclusive interviews, as well as extensive scrutiny of public records, private papers, and court proceedings, Mayer provides vivid portraits of the secretive figures behind the new American oligarchy and a searing look at the carefully concealed agendas steering the nation. Dark Money is an essential book for anyone who cares about the future of American democracy. • Author : Maynard Miller
  • Publisher : Xulon Press
  • Release : 2010-11
  • ISBN : 1612150721
  • Pages : 742 pages

Download or read book The Book and the Right written by Maynard Miller and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2010-11 with total page 742 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Pilgrims journeyed toward the New World with a distinct purpose in mind. They left behind a life dissatisfying to them and arrived with a vision of liberty and hope. They held within themselves the seeds of a nation exceptional in all of history. Their convictions paved the way for the colonists, who would eventually give form and substance to a government based on the truth of the ages. A unique nation-a nation under God-would arise and seize the God-given right to live free, offer opportunity and realize prosperity. But contrary to the settlers' and founders' principles, alien elements have arisen in recent years to challenge the American ideal and threaten the foundation of the republic. Forces foreign to the Constitution are producing radical changes in our cultural and political life, and "one nation under God" has become "one nation under siege." The Book and The Right examines those qualities that have made America exceptional, but that are endangered at the present time, and looks in detail at the causes that are putting her at serious risk. It appraises her current direction and stresses the steps she must take to return to the course of her originally chosen destiny. The Book and The Right addresses a subject long held taboo and goes to the heart of the issue for answers. The author draws on historical, theological, psychological and political data to pursue the truth and call America back to her roots. Maynard Miller holds degrees from Asbury College, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and the University of Kentucky. He has been a psychotherapist, administrator and college teacher in the mental health/human service field. A frequent speaker and writer, he is a leader in national and international service projects. His previous book is The Face in the Mirror.

Book They Must Be Stopped

Download or read book They Must Be Stopped written by Brigitte Gabriel and published by St. Martin's Press. This book was released on 2008-09-02 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: They Must Be Stopped is New York Times bestselling author Brigitte Gabriel's warning to the world: We can no longer ignore the growth of radical Islam--we must act soon, and powerfully. Gabriel challenges our western and politically-correct notions about Islam, demonstrating why radical Islam is so deadly and how we can halt its progress. Brigitte Gabriel speaks her mind: *Fundamentalist Islam is a religion rooted in 7th century teachings that are fundamentally opposed to democracy and equality. *Radical Islamists are utterly contemptuous of all "infidels" (non-Muslims) and regard them as enemies worthy of death. *Madrassas in America are increasing in number, and they are just one part of a growing radical Islamic army on US soil. *Radical Islam exploits the US legal system and America's protection of religion to spread its hatred for western values. *America must organize a unified voice that says "enough" to political correctness, and demands that government officials and elected representatives do whatever is necessary to protect us. Brigitte Gabriel has fearlessly faced down critics, death threats, and political correctness, and is one of the most sought after terrorism experts in the world. They Must Be Stopped is her clarion call to action. Gabriel thoroughly addresses the historical and religious basis of radical Islam, its frightening encroachment into societies around the world, and its abuses of democracy in the name of religion.

Book On Bullshit

  • Author : Harry G. Frankfurt
  • Publisher : Princeton University Press

  • ISBN : 1400826535
  • Pages : 80 pages

Download or read book On Bullshit written by Harry G. Frankfurt and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2009-01-10 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The #1 New York Times bestseller that explains why bullshit is far more dangerous than lying One of the most salient features of our culture is that there is so much bullshit. Everyone knows this. Each of us contributes his share. But we tend to take the situation for granted. Most people are rather confident of their ability to recognize bullshit and to avoid being taken in by it. So the phenomenon has not aroused much deliberate concern. We have no clear understanding of what bullshit is, why there is so much of it, or what functions it serves. And we lack a conscientiously developed appreciation of what it means to us. In other words, as Harry Frankfurt writes, "we have no theory." Frankfurt, one of the world's most influential moral philosophers, attempts to build such a theory here. With his characteristic combination of philosophical acuity, psychological insight, and wry humor, Frankfurt proceeds by exploring how bullshit and the related concept of humbug are distinct from lying. He argues that bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all. Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant. Frankfurt concludes that although bullshit can take many innocent forms, excessive indulgence in it can eventually undermine the practitioner's capacity to tell the truth in a way that lying does not. Liars at least acknowledge that it matters what is true. By virtue of this, Frankfurt writes, bullshit is a greater enemy of the truth than lies are.

Book excerpt: He helped engineer one of the greatest upsets in political history—the election of Donald J. Trump as president of the United States. Now, after a short and turbulent tenure in the White House, Steve Bannon is working on the outside to propel forward his populist agenda even when it puts him at odds with the Trump administration. Unafraid to speak the truth and unwilling to back down, Bannon has made headlines in recent months for slamming the Trump administration's approach to North Korea and China, backing controversial Senate candidate Roy Moore at all costs, and calling members of Trump's circle—including Trump's son Don Jr. and his son-in-law Jared Kushner—"treasonous" for meeting with Russians during the election. What is Steve Bannon trying to achieve? Is he a political genius with a promising ideology, or a muckraker without allegiances? In Bannon: Always the Rebel, veteran White House reporter Keith Koffler sits down for hours of interviews with Steve Bannon and gets the embattled former White House advisor talking about his plans, his current thinking about the Trump White House, and the reasons he's still fighting. "Keith Koffler's book will help you understand why Steve Bannon still matters, and why he is one of the most powerful and important men outside the Oval Office." —SEBASTIAN GORKA, Ph.D., former deputy assistant to President Trump, author of Defeating Jihad, and chief strategist of the Make America Great Again Coalition.

Branding has been one of the major tools through which Conservatives have built an enduring movement over the last several decades and a tool through which their movement has become very resilient. This book is ideal for use in classes on American politics, campaigns and elections, media and politics, political marketing, and consumer marketing.

Book The New Reagan Revolution

Download or read book The New Reagan Revolution written by Michael Reagan and published by Macmillan. This book was released on 2011-01-18 with total page 384 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "There are cynics who say that a party platform is something that no one bothers to read and it doesn't very often amount to much. Whether it is different this time than it has ever been before, I believe the Republican Party has a platform that is a banner of bold, unmistakable colors, with no pastel shades." –Ronald Reagan, 1976 Republican National Convention When Ronald Reagan was called to the podium by President Ford during the 1976 Republican National Convention, he had no prepared remarks. But the unrehearsed speech he gave that night is still regarded as one of the most moving speeches of his political career. The reason he was able to give such a powerful speech on a moment's notice was that he was proclaiming the core principles of his heart and soul, which he had been teaching and preaching for years. The New Reagan Revolution reveals new insights into the life, thoughts, and actions of the man who changed the world during the 1980s. The challenges and threats we face today are eerily similar to the conditions in the world before the beginning of the Reagan era. The good news is that we already know what works. Ronald Reagan has given us the blueprint. This book is not merely a diagnosis of our nation's ills, but a prescription to heal our nation, rooted in the words and principles of Ronald Reagan. In these pages, you'll find a plan for returning America to its former greatness, soundness, and prosperity. It's the plan Ronald Reagan developed over years of study, observation, and reflection. It's a plan he announced to the nation, straight from his heart, one summer evening during America's 200th year. It's the plan he put into action during his eight years in office as the most effective president of the 20th century, and it is the plan we can use today to help return America to its former greatness, soundness, and prosperity.
