To be the possessor of a comfortable sum of money does not mean to be dishonest or unkind, any more than poverty means honesty and unselfishness. There are all kinds of people in both classes. Our time, in short, calls for a fresh interpretation of Stoicism. It is time for a new generation of Stoics. Thus: reformed Stoicism.
