In addition, the needs for environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions, as well as the increasing complexity of the integrated systems, in todays large airlines, require new concepts for this market.The thesis is structured in a theoretical and a practical part both following a stepwise research design with the aim to answer several research questions.The theoretical part analyses the current situation of the GA multi-engine pilot training aircraft and focus on factors which have to be taken into account for the designs. Furthermore this part describes how key factors and new technology can be established and evaluated. The practical part discusses the key factors and the chosen technologies for the future GA multi-engine training aircraft. Upon selection of a technology this part explains its advantages and disadvantages for possible configuration of the training aircraft. The results of practical and theoretical part provides hybrid as the suitable technology and proposes a low wing, T-tail with aft placed ducted fan engine as a conceptual design.
