Book Ionosphere New Perspectives

    Book Details:
  • Author : Yann-Henri Chemin
  • Publisher : BoD – Books on Demand
  • Release : 2023-06-21
  • ISBN : 1837695385
  • Pages : 180 pages

Download or read book Ionosphere New Perspectives written by Yann-Henri Chemin and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2023-06-21 with total page 180 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The ionosphere is a layer of the Earth's atmosphere that extends from about 50 km to 1000 km above the Earth's surface. It is ionized by solar radiation, which creates ions and free electrons in the upper atmosphere. These ions and electrons reflect radio waves back to the Earth's surface, allowing long-distance radio communication as well as absorption of harmful solar radiation. Ionospheric conductivity monitoring assesses the state of the ionosphere and improves the accuracy of satellite communications. This book is organized into two sections on the influence and impact of transient or orbiting humanmade objects into the ionosphere and the monitoring and modeling of the temporal evolution of the ionosphere. The information presented will lead to a better understanding and forecasting of the ionosphere’s dynamic.

Book Early Analytic Philosophy New Perspectives on the Tradition

Download or read book Early Analytic Philosophy New Perspectives on the Tradition written by Sorin Costreie and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-01-21 with total page 459 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume discusses some crucial ideas of the founders of the analytic philosophy: Gottlob Frege, Bertrand Russell and Ludwig Wittgenstein, or the ‘golden trio’. The book shows how these ‘old’ ideas are still present and influential in the current philosophical debates and to what extent these debates echo the original ideas. The collection aim is twofold: to better understand these fruitful ideas by placing them in the original setting, and to systematically examine these ideas in the context of the current debates animating philosophical discussions today. Divided into five sections, the book first sets the stage and offers a general introduction to the background influences, as well as delimitations of the initial foundational positions. This first section contains two papers dedicated to the discussion of realism and the status of science at that time, followed by two papers that tackle the epistemic status of logical laws. The next three sections constitute the core of the volume, each being dedicated to the most important figures in the early analytic tradition: Frege, Russell, and Wittgenstein. The last section gathers several essays that discuss either the relation between two or more analytic thinkers, or various important concepts such as ‘predicativism’ and ‘arbitrary function’, or the principles of abstraction and non-contradiction.

Book From Creation to Eternity

Download or read book From Creation to Eternity written by Raymond J. Jerome and published by Raymond Jerome. This book was released on 2010-01-07 with total page 183 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Sometimes I have a difficult time accepting my good fortune to be living at this particular time -- nothing has made me feel more that way than reading Dr. Jerome's fascinating, realistic, and informative book. It is a "treasure house" of wonderful information, useful knowledge, and excellent writing. This book essentially takes the basic religious truths that have been handed down to us over hundreds of years from our major world religions and shows how current findings in subatomic particle physics, quantum theory, and laser technology gives us a way of seeing how they may well be agreeing on the same basic truths that construct and maintain our matter and spiritual existence. Larry Dossey, M.D., President of Isthmus Institute and author of "Space, Time, and Medicine" and "Beyond Illness", has written an excellent introduction and endorses Dr. Jerome's work. I believe that any creditable scientist would do the same and certainly every New Thought student should be enthusiastic about the work. This book is not 'another scientific text.' It is that, of course, but is so much more and such 'fun' reading. Take a look at this book which is entertaining, informative, and above all else, a book which has great application to daily living." -- Jack H. Holland, PhD., D.D. -- Theologian, Reviewer of scientific and theological literature for "The New Thought Quarterly," and Director of The Institute for Human Growth and Awareness. "Dr. Jerome's book just might be one of the most important books of this era. It explains the holographic nature of God's consciousness in terms that are understandable." -- Tommy Sellers, communications expert in computer science and laser research. "Dr. Jerome personifies a new breed of human now emerging. He is a scientist who realizes that his science represents only part of the path to understand his existence and his reality. It is an essential part, but incomplete in itself. To be whole, to be balanced in life, he knows it is necessary to discover the path's other essential part. As the parts of the path become visible before him, Dr. Jerome integrates them for us. As he says in his preface: If science is right, and if religion is also right, then they must allude to the same basic truths. The quest to uncover this 'sameness' is the goal of this book This is a sensitive and beautiful book written by an admirable man. It deserves to be read, then pondered, then reread, and finally, referred to often." -- John C. Carls, PhD. in particle physics and author of "What It Means To Be Human."

This book was released on 2023-03-23 with total page 340 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A P Balachandran has a long and impressive record of research in particle physics and quantum field theory, bringing concepts of geometry, topology and operator algebras to the analysis of physical problems, particularly in particle physics and condensed matter physics. He has also had an influential role within the physics community, not only in terms of a large number of students, research associates and collaborators, but also serving on the editorial boards of important publications, including the International Journal of Modern Physics A.This book consists of articles by students and associates of Balachandran. Most of the articles are scientific in nature, with topics ranging from noncommutative geometry, particle physics phenomenology, to condensed matter physics. Various chapters focus on new perspectives and directions resulting from Balachandran's contributions to physics, as well as some reminiscences of collaborating and working with Balachandran.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Professionally, I am a neurologist, but ever since I was fourteen years old, I have been passionate, first about mathematics, then about physics. I won the annual prize for mathematics when I graduated from high school and my nickname in high school, given to me by my fellow students, was Newton. I did my bachelors in science in physics before going into medicine. I graduated with the highest distinction in physics and was a member of the National Physics Honor Society as an undergraduate. I won the annual Professor Abels Memorial Award for physics upon my graduation. I am a member of the American Mensa Society. Even during my training as a neurologist and while working as a neurologist, physics continued to stay with me as a hobby. I kept up with the latest news in physics through the television programs and the popular science magazines, to the extent that was possible, given the extremely busy professional and family life. I always had a lot of ideas regarding various branches of physics, especially cosmology, but, I did not had the time to put them on paper and develop them, in a logical manner, into a paper worthy for publication. However, by G-Ds Will, I had a gap of free time, between switching jobs, that finally allowed me to put my thoughts on paper. I found that, they not only made physical sense, but also had merit, which made me consider publishing them for a wider audience. I continue to practice neurology in New York State where I live with my wife and our two children.
