Book excerpt: The scope of this monograph is to show that our classical, quantum and cosmological knowledge of antimatter is at its beginning with much yet to be discovered, and that a commitment to antimatter by experimentalists will be invaluable to antimatter science. This is also the first book presenting the isodual theory of antimatter. It is aimed at scientists and researchers in theoretical physics.

Book Foundations of Hadronic Chemistry

Download or read book Foundations of Hadronic Chemistry written by R.M. Santilli and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2001-10-31 with total page 464 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Physicist's Perspective on the Insufficiencies and Generalizations of Quantum Chemistry My Undergraduate and Graduate Studies in Italy on the Insufficiencies of Quantum Mechanics and Chem istry I was first exposed to quantum chemistry during my undergraduate courses in physics at the University of Naples, Italy, in the late 1950s. My teacher was Prof. Bakunin, a well known lady chemist in Europe at that time, who escaped from Russia with her family during the ad vent of communism. My three exams with her (inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and laboratory chemistry) were, by far, the most dif ficult exams of my life (although I did please Prof. Bakunin during the examinations) . Besides chemistry, during my undergraduate studies I plunged into the study of physics, with particular reference to quantum mechanics and its mathematical structure. My mathematics teacher was Prof. Cac cioppoli, one of the most famous Italian mathematicians of that time, who taught me the necessity of advanced mathematics for quantitative physical studies. By reading the works of the founders of contemporary physics, it was easy for me to see the lack of final character of quantum mechanics already in these undergraduate studies.

Book New Frontiers in Astronomy

Download or read book New Frontiers in Astronomy written by Elizabeth Schmermund and published by Cavendish Square Publishing, LLC. This book was released on 2016-07-15 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: New Frontiers in Astronomy describes critical discoveries that shape the way we look at our universe, such as the Big Bang Theory and the acceleration of the universe. These discoveries paved the way for more recent leaps in the field of astronomy, namely the existence of dark matter. These discoveries also demonstrate the way teams of scientists work simultaneously to prove theories and draw important conclusions.

Book Walk Through Weak Hyperstructures A Hv structures

Download or read book Walk Through Weak Hyperstructures A Hv structures written by Bijan Davvaz and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2018-12-11 with total page 347 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hyperstructures represent a natural extension of classical algebraic structures. They were introduced in 1934 by the French mathematician Marty. Since then, hundreds of papers published on this subject. This book is devoted to the study of weak hyperstructures with natural examples. It begins with some basic results, which represent the most general algebraic context, in which reality can be modelled. There are also applications in natural science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). The authors of the book are experts and well known on this theory. Most results on weak hyperstructures are collected in this book. The overall strength of the book is in its presentation and introduction to some of the results, methods and ideas about weak hyperstructures.

Book Frontiers of Fundamental Physics

Download or read book Frontiers of Fundamental Physics written by M. Barone and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 588 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Olympia conference Frontiers of Fundamental Physics was a gathering of about hundred scientists who carryon their research in conceptually important areas of physical science (they do "fundamental physics"). Most of them were physicists, but also historians and philosophers of science were well represented. An important fraction of the participants could be considered "heretical" because they disagreed with the validity of one or several fundamental assumptions of modern physics. Common to all participants was an excellent scientific level coupled with a remarkable intellectual honesty: we are proud to present to the readers this certainly unique book. Alternative ways of considering fundamental matters should of course be vitally important for the progress of science, unless one wanted to admit that physics at the end of the XXth century has already obtained the final truth, a very unlikely possibility even if one accepted the doubtful idea of the existence of a "final" truth. The merits of the Olympia conference should therefore not be judged a priori in a positive or in a negative way depending on one's refusal or acceptance, respectively, but considered after reading the actual of basic principles of contemporary science, new proposals and evidences there presented. They seem very important to us.
