Book Neuropsicolog a de las emociones

Download or read book Neuropsicolog a de las emociones written by José Víctor Orón Semper and published by Comercial Grupo ANAYA, S.A.. This book was released on 2019-02-14 with total page 368 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: Everything we do, and sense, happens through our brain. In Coaching the Brain: Practical Applications of Neuroscience to Coaching, highly experienced coaches Joseph O’Connor and Andrea Lages ask and answer the question: ‘How can we use our knowledge of the brain to help ourselves and others to learn, change, and develop?’. This book will show you how to apply insights from the latest neuroscience research in a practical way, in the fields of personal development, coaching and cognitive therapy. Accessible and practical, it begins with an overview of how the brain works along with an explanation of how our brain changes due to our actions and thoughts, illuminating how these habits can be changed through neuroplasticity. Understanding the neuroscience of goals and mental models helps us to work with and change them, and clarity about emotions and the emotional basis of values can help achieve happiness. Book Cognition and Neuropsychology

Download or read book Cognition and Neuropsychology written by Peter A. Frensch and published by Psychology Press. This book was released on 2010-06-17 with total page 305 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first of two volumes which together present the main contributions from the 29th International Congress of Psychology, held in Berlin in 2008, written by international leaders in psychology from around the world. The authors present a variety of approaches and perspectives that reflect cutting-edge advances in psychological science. Cognition and Neuropsychology is dedicated to summarizing and characterizing the current scientific research in three substantive content areas, (i) Perception, Attention, and Action, (ii) Social Cognition, and (iii) Learning, Memory and Development. While some of the contributions focus on relatively narrow areas of research, others adopt a much broader stance, trying to understand and explain many different facets of behaviour across widely differing situations. Some contributions even try to bridge the fundamental gap between behaviour and genetics. The final part contains two chapters that discuss fundamental general issues in psychology, such as the fate of mentalism and the significance of phenomenal analyses. All chapters offer fascinating insights into current theorizing on the mind, and are written by some of the best-known scholars of our time. This book will be an invaluable resource for researchers, professionals, teachers and students in the field of psychology.

Book Theory of Experience in Architecture and Urban Design

Download or read book Theory of Experience in Architecture and Urban Design written by Adolfo Benito Narváez Tijerina and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2024-07-05 with total page 423 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This unique volume presents the practical tools for architects and urban designers to improve the work processes of architectural design—from conception to construction, taking into consideration the personalized world of users, architects, and urban designers. The volume starts from the conception of architectural space as a continuum that goes from the subjective depth of the mind to the objective reality, taking into consideration the perspective of building experiences for users. It is based on the idea that at the heart of that continuum is the experience of architecture and the city as the element that unites them and gives them meaning. The volume first defines what the architectural experience is from the processes of perception, cognition, and evaluation that users and architects make about workplaces and programs. It goes on to consider the knowledge and tools needed for the evaluation of users and places, providing the methods that will help to understand the architectural experience desired by the main users of both the architectural object and an urban design, providing a series of techniques that have proven effective. Key features: Describes the theoretical approaches, methods, and tools necessary for architectural and urban design for creating experiences for users Provides a deep understanding of the nature of built environments and what they express Discusses specific methods for in-depth research on users’ subjective space through making meaningful contact with them and through appropriate technological means, such as research on their expressions and communications on virtual social networks This book will help to make urban architects and designers aware of their importance for the implementation of public policies that will work in the very long term, with the expectation that by becoming aware of this role, they can act in accordance with an ethic based on values of protection of life, human solidarity, compassion, vitality, freedom, equality between people and social justice.

Book Colonization of the Inner Planet

Download or read book Colonization of the Inner Planet written by Adrian Scribano and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2021-08-01 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the conquest, predation and management of human bodies and emotions by the growing capitalist digital community. It seeks to understand the debate between various forms of the individual, subject, actor, and agent to emerge a social theory vision for the 21st century. The book moves beyond the colonization of the physical world to examine the process of colonization of humans. It focuses on the communication humans have with the world to understand how this impacts their sensibilities. This communication is influenced by technological innovations that enable a process of systematic colonization of human beings as bodies/emotions. This book explores a social theory which will allow us to understand this redefinition of the individual. This enables us to uncover connections between the colonization of the ‘inner planet’ that is the human society, and the dialectic of the person and the politics of their sensibilities. This is explored through the tensions that arise between the forms a person assumes in unequal and diverse cultural contexts and the emotions behind those cultural differences. The book will appeal to academics and postgraduate students of sociology, philosophy and anthropology, as well as psychologists, organizational specialists, linguists, ethnographers, historians, political scientists, administrators and professionals affiliated with NGOs.
