Book excerpt: La violencia de género es un problema social que afecta a mujeres de todo el mundo, con independencia de su origen, cultura, procedencia o edad. Conforma un problema social que atenta contra los derechos humanos y por ende, contra los derechos a la vida, a la seguridad, a la libertad y a la dignidad de las personas. Esta forma de violencia ha sido especialmente estudiada en la etapa adulta, sin embargo, son recientes los estudios centrados en las etapas más jóvenes. La investigación que se presenta consta de dos grandes objetivos: 1)Identificar las necesidades de acción socioeducativa para prevenir la violencia de género en adolescentes (12 a 14 años). 2)Diseñar un programa socioeducativo para la prevención de la violencia de género en parejas adolescentes. Ésta sigue un diseño multimétodo con finalidad descriptiva comprensiva, la cual, se compone por dos estudios que se complementan entre sí: 1)Estudio por encuesta mediante una escala de actitud hacia la violencia de género. 2)Estudio de carácter cualitativo. Para éste se utilizan diferentes instrumentos de recogida de información: análisis de situaciones, grupos de discusión con adolescentes, entrevistas informales con el profesorado y diario de campo de la investigadora. Ambos estudios, se articulan en torno a tres dimensiones: cognitiva, emocional-actitudinal y comportamental, ya que desde la literatura científica en el ámbito señala que para prevenir la violencia de género es necesario intervenir desde esta tridimensionalidad. Los resultados hallados en la investigación ponen de evidencia la necesidad de prevenir la violencia de género a edades tempranas, incidiendo no solo en los conocimientos sobre la misma sino también en el aspectos actitudinales (creencias, valores y actitudes en relación al amor y a la violencia de género) y comportamentales (ajuste comportamental, habilidades sociales, etc.). Para dar respuesta al segundo objetivo de la investigación, así como los resultados hallados en la misma, se diseña y elabora el programa "GENER@-T. Programa socioeducativo para la prevención de la violencia de género en adolescentes". El programa se estructura en tres bloques: presentación y características del programa, guia de contenido para el profesorado y desarrollo de las sesiones. Por su diseño y desarrollo el programa permite su aplicación tanto en el ámbito educativo formal como en otros ámbitos socioeducativos.
