Book Near Rings and Near Fields

Download or read book Near Rings and Near Fields written by G. Betsch and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2011-09-22 with total page 313 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most topics in near-ring and near-field theory are treated here, along with an extensive introduction to the theory. There are two invited lectures: ``Non-Commutative Geometry, Near-Rings and Near-Fields'' which indicates the relevance of near-rings and near-fields for geometry, while ``Pseudo-Finite Near-Fields'' shows the impressive power of model theoretic methods. The remaining papers cover such topics as D.G. near-rings, radical theory, KT-near-fields, matrix near-rings, and applications to systems theory.

Download or read book Optical Near Fields written by Motoichi Ohtsu and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-03-14 with total page 216 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ohstu and Kobayashi crafted Optical Near Fields on the basis of their hypothesis that the full potential for utilizing optical near fields can be realized only with novel nanometric processing, functions, and manipulation, i.e., by controlling the intrinsic interaction between nanometer-sized optical near fields and material systems, and further, atoms. The book presents physically intuitive concepts and theories for students, engineers, and scientists engaged in research in nanophotonics and atom photonics.

Book Nearrings Nearfields and K Loops

Download or read book Nearrings Nearfields and K Loops written by Gerhard Saad and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 449 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This present volume is the Proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Near rings and Nearfields held in Hamburg at the Universitiit der Bundeswehr Hamburg, from July 30 to August 06, 1995. This Conference was attended by 70 mathematicians and many accompanying persons who represented 22 different countries from all five continents. Thus it was the largest conference devoted entirely to nearrings and nearfields. The first of these conferences took place in 1968 at the Mathematische For schungsinstitut Oberwolfach, Germany. This was also the site of the conferences in 1972, 1976, 1980 and 1989. The other eight conferences held before the Hamburg Conference took place in eight different countries. For details about this and, more over, for a general historical overview of the development of the subject, we refer to the article "On the beginnings and development of near-ring theory" by G. Betsch [3]. During the last forty years the theory of nearrings and related algebraic struc tures like nearfields, nearmodules, nearalgebras and seminearrings has developed into an extensive branch of algebra with its own features. In its position between group theory and ring theory, this relatively young branch of algebra has not only a close relationship to these two more well-known areas of algebra, but it also has, just as these two theories, very intensive connections to many further branches of mathematics.

Download or read book Nearrings and Nearfields written by Hubert Kiechle and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2005-04-19 with total page 338 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The present volume is the Proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Nearrings and Nearfields held at the Helmut-Schmidt-Universität, Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg, from July 27 – August 3, 2003. It contains the written versions of the lectures by the five invited speakers. These concern recent developments of planar nearrings, nearrings of mappings, group nearrings and loop-nearrings. One of them is a long and very substantial research paper "The Z-Constrained Conjecture". They are followed by 13 contributions reflecting the diversity of the subject of nearrings and related structures. Besides the purely algebraic structure theory these papers show many connections of nearring theory with group theory, combinatorics, geometries, and topology. They all contain original research.

Book Principles of Planar Near Field Antenna Measurements

Download or read book Principles of Planar Near Field Antenna Measurements written by Stuart Gregson and published by IET. This book was released on 2007-12-31 with total page 413 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This single volume provides a comprehensive introduction and explanation of both the theory and practice of 'Planar Near-Field Antenna Measurement' from its basic postulates and assumptions, to the intricacies of its deployment in complex and demanding measurement scenarios. To do this the book initially examines the properties of antennas that allow them to enhance the free space interaction of electronic systems and this leads into a full description of the theory of 'Planar Near-Field Scanning'.

Book Plane Wave Theory of Time Domain Fields

Download or read book Plane Wave Theory of Time Domain Fields written by Thorkild B. Hansen and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 1999-06-10 with total page 402 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This invaluable book provides a comprehensive framework for the formulation and solution ofnumerous problems involving the radiation, reception, propagation, and scattering of electromagnetic and acoustic waves. Filled with original derivations and theorems, it includes the first rigorous development of plane-wave expansions for time-domain electromagnetic and acoustic fields. For the past 35 years, near-field measurement techniques have been confined to the frequency domain. Now, with the publication of this book, probe-corrected near-field measurement techniques have been extended to ultra-wide-band, short-pulse transmitting and receiving antennas and transducers. By combining unencumbered straightforward derivations with in-depth expositions of prerequisite material, the authors have created an invaluable resource for research scientists and engineers in electromagnetics and acoustics, and a definitive reference on plane-wave expansions and near-field measurements. Featured topics include: * An introduction to the basic electromagnetic and acoustic field equations * A rigorous development of time-domain and frequency-domain plane-wave representations * The formulation of time-domain, frequency-domain, and static planar near-field measurement techniques with and without probe-correction * Sampling theorems and computation schemes for time-domain and frequency-domain fields * Analytic-signal formulas that simplify the formulation and analysis of transient fields * Wave phenomena, such as ``electromagnetic missiles"" encountered only in the time domain * Definitive force and power relations for electromagnetic and acoustic fields and sources."
